NFL Coaching Changes/Pink Slip Monday (merged)

Coaches I can see potentially getting fired

Seem likely to be fired
Leslie Frasier
Jim Shwartz
Shanahan

50/50 chance
Greg Schiano
Raiders Coach

Less than 50% chance of getting fired

Tom Coughlin
Rex Ryan
Titans Head Coach

I'm guessing not that many coaches will actually get
Fired. Probably 4

Rex Ryan and Munchak less than 50%? I feel the Jets must beat the Dolphins to finish the season 8-8 for Rex to keep his job one more year. The Titans coach, Munchak, is gone on Monday.

The jets could be a lot worse than they are. They just need a proven OC. Yeah Munchak is probably gone

Why ? Wasnt Atlanta suppposed to be a contender this season ? Losing Julio Jones didnt help, but come on other teams overcame big injuries.

He's built up a lot of equity there. That plus a TON of significant injuries buys him more time.

I don't think you can fire him without absolute assurance of getting someone better. Jmho.

Roddy White was hurt most of the year, too. They need to get younger at RB. They keep going with high mileage guys.

Didn't they have a number of defensive injuries as well? Admittedly, I don't follow them closely.

If they can lure Del Rio but not much else available - I would think more GMs get canned this season rather than coaches because of flop/bad draft picks.

It wasn't just Julio jones. The falcons lost their RT last year to free agency, their LT to an injury, and center to retirement and have arguably the worst O line in the NFL. Steven Jackson's early injuries didn't help. Roddy White had a nagging knee injury all year. and didn't play the first half of the season. We lost our DE beirman for the season. It seems like every linebacker in our rotation suffered an injury this year. Were down to playing 2 rookie free agent rookies at linebacker. Don't forget with Asante Samuel getting injured every other week, were starting 2 rookie cornerbacks. And our running game, and defense in general, sucked to begin with last year.

Smith won't get fired.
Schiano, Frazier, and Shanahan are gone.
O'Brien looks like he's headed to Houston.

Isn't this the 3rd year in a row that the Jets don't make it to the playoffs since their trip to the AFC championship in 2010? That doesn't look very good for Rex.

I feel sorry for any coach that dares to coach in Oakland. That is nothing but a coaching graveyard now. You might as well be on the hotseat as soon you accept the job.

Maybe it's just my complete disgust with the program, but I wouldn't be surprised if Shanahan got his pink slip tomorrow night.

You would think they would get someone competent in the GM position since Al Davis is no longer in the way.

I am curious what the Titans do with Bud gone now. He wasn't as meddling as Davis was or Jerruh Is but he still forced things on the team (VY). He was also pretty loyal to Fisher for quite a while through some pretty bad years.

I get the situation but it's amazing to me he's out a year after winning the division and Munchak will be back and hasn't even had a winning season yet.

But he improved from last year! We also secured the runner up spot in the Afc south! Progress!!¡!

Besides Shanahan and Chudzinzki, I will guess that Dennis Allen and Leslie Frazier will be fired too and possibly Munchak.

Art Shell
Lane Kiffin
Tom Cable
Hue Jackson
Dennis Allen

I didn't think the firings of Cable and Jackson were even justified at the time.

Munchak is;

22-26 overall
6-12 division
7 wins against teams that are either at .500 or with winning records

If that doesn't get him fired we have retards running the franchise.

Chudzinski is a terrible firing. Browns: still the worst.

Schwartz all but confirmed to be out tomorrow morning

If we keep Munchak I wonder if he'll go after him as DC again? Both Gray and Williams contract's are expiring.
