I'm with Jaws. I don't know why my boy Matt Moore wasn't drafted. He did nothing but win at Oregon State, and has the size, strength and smarts to make it in the NFL. His accuracy got much improved this last year.

The first day for the Titans was disappointing but not as horrible as I originally thought.

1st round-Michael Griffin S
Decent pick here. I would have rather took Meachem. DB was a need as well, though. Apparently the GM thinks more highly of our CB situation(Hill, Harper, Finnegan, PacMan when he returns) than our safety situation. It was only decent because it was a need. It could have been much better had he went with Reggie Nelson or a couple others.

2nd round-Chris Henry RB
RB was a need, but I don't think it was worth a 2nd round pick unless it was a steal. Henry is a reach here. There were a few better RBs available here if it is a priority. He does have high potential, but I just don't see it panning out.

3rd round-Paul Williams WR
This may be the best pick for the Titans on the first day. He is a decent WR and a good ST guy. The Titans needed both.

Good read HV. And as the rest of the draft would show(your post was after Saturday) the titans did a good job of adding bodies in need areas. The experts on ESPN unloaded on the Titans, but then they always do. Griffin is a fine pick when you remember that Fisher's whole mentality on defense is to fly to the ball and deliver heavy blows. We've been missing that of late. This is a big step forward. Henry has speed , size, and pad leverage. Y'all are going to wind up loving this kid. Remember he spent his career as an understudy to Mike Bell, so not having been on the field alot is not an indication of lack of talent. Taking the WRs later on is not a huge surprise. The Titans have a history of taking WRs late. Guys with the skills who just need to be coached up to NFL level.

At first blush, this draft looked scewy to be sure. A good look though, shows a well thought out plan to address needs that covered the field. All in all...
I'd give 'em a "B"....
