the NFL draft is coming up soon, what vol players do you think will go and what round do you think they will go in?

why would he go any earlier? he did nothing here his senior year, and got hurt. As for toeania dropped tons of weight and ran a 4.9 raising his draft stock coonsiderably i see him going middle of the draft.

I think Riggs will go 6th or 7th. If he goes any earlier that is a mistake in my opinion

That dont mean anything. Mike Williams was out a year not playing football and was still drafted in the first round. Riggs may have gotten hurt but he still has potential. Forgot about Toeina, he'll probably go in the 7th round.

not only did he get hurt, but he got shown up by a freshman and played very poorly his senior year, we didnt get a running game until he got hurt.

dont forget that arian foster was better than your average freshman. and no riggs didnt play poorly......he had 530 yards rushing before he got hurt midseason which means he would have probably had 1000 by the end of the season. and yes, we did have a running game before foster....foster averaged 80 yards per game and riggs averaged 90 before his injury.......

he was an average college back, who played great at the end of his junior year, but I dont see him as an NFL back. Not quick or fast enough though he does have the power.

Remember Munoz was an all-american his senior year and didnt even get drafted. Sean Young was similar size of toenia and didnt get drafted at tackle either.

I dont think Toeinia is going to get drafted. I'm not sure anyone off of UT's o-line gets drafted. Maybe Rob Smith very late. The o-line simply didnt play well enough to get a lot of interest from the NFL. Toenia may have a shot as a free agent, thats about it.

There are a lot of Dallas fans around here so I've been getting questions about JA. They are all kinds of excited at the prospect of pairing him with Williams in the secondary. That's half the field shut down.

Gaither, Mahelona and Haralson will be steals in the 4-5th rounds. All will contribute.

Simon and Riggs maybe ok in the 6th.

if Riggs played the same his whole senior year the way he played in the SEC championship vs Auburn and against TX A&M in the cotton bowl, he would be 1st round in my mind.

umm i dont think Mahenlona is getting drafted to tell you the truth. he has been getting whiped all over infront of scouts and his numbers were pretty bad. being undersized, he let his draft stock drop hard this year...

although, i agree that Allen should go in the first round, i think his injury may have bumped him down to the second round. I hope for the best though.

have you not heard that hes been tearing it up at combines for scouts. hes predicted to go like 18th i think.

Thats funny because he had gone through a physical at the combine and has seen every team doctor that is intrested in him and has passed with flying colors....how do you run a 4.39/4.40 in the 40 yard dash if you fail a physical??

They're correct that rumors are surfacing that he has failed physicals for several teams. However, those rumors haven't been confirmed to this point. I also wondered exactly how he could run such a good 40-yard time at the combine if he still can't pass a physical. I would wager that it's likely that a team that is highly interested in him is the one that is floating the rumor about the failed physicals. My guess is that he's drafted somewhere in the top 25 - probably in the late teens.

It usually means the part of the physical that you pee in a cup for. :ill_h4h:

...or maybe range of movement in that hip/thigh because of the surgery recovery time affecting lateral movement? I think its not outside the realm of possibility that NFL teams throw propaganda out like that to maybe cause doubt so theres more chance a player they want will be there when their turn comes. I find it very hard to believe any 1 who can run a sub 4.5 would be un fit, I think Allen goes 1st round definately. I think Mahelona will go 2nd round because although his personal production numbers slowed his last year If you'll watch film on him you can see he is gettin double and triple teamed every single play. I think Simon will go as well as Riggs in round 3 and the rest will go before round 6 is done....except Toeina, who may have an attitude problem and as we saw in the last couple of years that is something the NFL has started to scrutinize.

I hope Allen and Mahelona do especially well. Both of them could have gone out last year and made more money than this year. I love Mahelona's fire and think he would do well with the Patriots.
