How many of this class are NFL bound ? Of course a few of these guys, barring injury or whatnot, should be on that road. But I am asking which guys (with the coaching) are going to be made into NFL caliber players ?

For the ones that make it through the program unscathed, I think there could be several pro prospects in this class....possibly half of them.

He might be right in that "half" of them end up with a shot. I think it will really depend on what position they land at and how hard they push there self to be the best they can. In my opinion if the moon and stars align just right.

Askew, Jerod
Edwards, Mike
Gordon, Eric
Jackson, Janzen
Myles, Darren
Oliver, Nyshier
Richardson, Nu'Keese
Sykes, Rae
Teague, Marsalis
Walls, Marlon

I might even throw Schoefield in on that list, but that is exactly who I had in mind! IMO these players are going to be so much better prepared for the NFL than the ones during the CPF era.

That's ridiculous. Why don't we quit beating down one of our own (ie Fulmer) and instead say that these players are going to be so much better prepared than the ones down in Florida right now running the Spread?? Why do we constantly feel the need to praise CLK who hasn't coached a single college game yet at the expense of Fulmer who actually DID prepare a lot of kids to play in the next level..... Unless you knew all along that Jerod Mayo was going to be the 10th overall pick? Or knew after 2005 that Erik Ainge would be drafted?

Ridiculous?? It's no secret that NFL scouts were not impressed with the prepardness of CPF's players for the next level. There are some exceptions to every rule...Mayo, Haynesworth, Manning to name a few. What has Eric Ainge done in the NFL? With 4 years of coaching instead of the 1(Cutt) he had, Ainge had the tools to be a 1st rounder. If you don't think these guys will be more prepared for the next level....your puffing on some good stuff!

Ainge had injury concerns, was inconsistent, and was a poor decision maker. He did not have the tools of a 1st RD pick at QB. Also, Ainge was a rookie this season behind Brett Favre, so obviously he's done nothing in the NFL - aside from getting suspended for using steroids.

Sending 5 players from this class would be quite an accomplishment, especially considering we haven't seen them play in college yet. For now, I say Jerod Askew and Janzen Jackson have the best shot.

I happen to agree that the development of the players will improve with CLK and staff.

Didn't you tell us that Darren Myles was really unhappy about Janzen Jackson and we'd all soon find out about it? Also, didn't you retire?

Money talks..........my friend.......money talks........so it wasn't that I was wrong, it just got rectified.

Nothing like an extremely vague, unverifiable explanation to prove that you didn't just regurgitate some crap you read on a volquest message board.

Exactly..........you're right except the gap between Desean and Nu'Keese is much greater.

I believe one guy beat you out as a freshman whereas Nu'Keese has been praised by Monte Kiffin as one of the most impressive prospects in the entire class.
