Because of the PLAYERS...............NOT THE COACH. No offense, but if Monte was as great as everyone says.....he'd be a head coach in the league right now. NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT...............So......maybe everyone knows more than what appears on the outside.

Some people just make great coordinators (lookin at you norv turner) and have no business bein a head coach. Maybe monte was smart enough to realize this. He's had head coaching offers. I doubt the respect NFL coaches means anything these days.. Especially to 17 year old high school kids

Just saying that "systems" in the NFL are not what wins. It's the players. I think you'll see this year that if he tries to run the "Tennessee 2". We DON'T have the players suited to run that system.

Brand new information! I'm stunned that a 5-7 college program wouldn't have the same caliber of players that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have.

Must be, everyone here thinks that we will be the 85' Bears on defense because we have Monte Kiffin who thinks that Nu'Keese Richardson is GREAT.

And NUKE will NOT be a factor on the field for us.

Damn. Then I guess in a few years we'll have to deal with him logging onto internet message boards talking out of his ass and pretending to have inside information.

So to recap... Nu'Keese Richardson isn't nearly as good as DeSean Jackson, because our former backup punter says so. Monte Kiffin probably isn't any good coordinating defenses even though he had 15 years of exceptional success in the NFL. Because the Ravens sustained success after Marvin Lewis left, Monte is more than likely overrated and doesn't deserve the universal respect he has from every coach in the NFL.

spot on :good!:

what a joke

You'll unfortunately see soon enough. This hire will go down as the WORST decision EVER made at the University of Tennessee.

I'd say the WORST decision EVER at Tennessee was keeping Fulmer long enough to run our program far enough into the ground where we get beat by Wyoming.

Not worried about what a bunch of non athletes think about my credibility. I just wish you'd all take off the orange eye visors and see what is happening here.
