No, but Monte knows who the best players on offense are, considering he's got to stop them.

I'd rather have a defensive coach say he's a beast who is going to be hard to stop, than an offensive coach saying that.

Do you guys remember a guy named Marvin Lewis that was the "Father" of the famed Ravens defense?? Everyone thought that when he left for the Bengals that the defense in Baltimore would never be the same. Well, it was. Maybe Monte was the beneficiary of having some well suited PROFESSIONAL athletes that made him look a little better than he actually is. Has that thought EVER crossed anyones mind?

as ridiculous as that arguement may be, it doesnt deter the fact that monte stills knows an offensive threat when he sees one. nice attempt to change the subject

If we can get Derrick Brooks to come and play for us, the "TAMPA 2" will be unstoppable .

And if we can just get Peyton Manning, Travis Henry, Jamal Lewis, Al Wilson, Leonard Little, Shaun Ellis, Darwin Walker, Deon Grant, DeWayne Goodrich, Cosey Coleman, Trey Teague, and Peerless Price we might stand a chance of winning the SEC. You know, provided Florida loses a couple of games to other opponents.

If that's the case, why didn't he lobby the management in Tampa to bring in some offensive weapons that would have made their offense at least decent. Surely he could have given them some personnel ideas since he is astute in offensive scouting.

I'm sure the Ravens' continued success had nothing to do with them hiring a guy like Rex Ryan.

Jon Gruden needs all kinds of help with his offense.

How do you know he didn't try? Oh wait, you know him as well as you do Micheal Oher, Ed Orgeron, and Pete Carroll, right?

I must have confused defensive coordinator with general manager or director of player personnel

This is a ridiculous argument. Why was the defense in Baltimore still good after he (Lewis) left ?

Because of the PLAYERS...............NOT THE COACH. No offense, but if Monte was as great as everyone says.....he'd be a head coach in the league right now. NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT...............So......maybe everyone knows more than what appears on the outside.

So to recap... Nu'Keese Richardson isn't nearly as good as DeSean Jackson, because our former backup punter says so. Monte Kiffin probably isn't any good coordinating defenses even though he had 15 years of exceptional success in the NFL. Because the Ravens sustained success after Marvin Lewis left, Monte is more than likely overrated and doesn't deserve the universal respect he has from every coach in the NFL.

Maybe he's not interested in being a head coach. But I guess your explanation that he thinks the best way to get an NFL head coaching gig is to head to a floundering college program. That makes tons of sense.

Nope. You left out the professional athletes...

Just saying that "systems" in the NFL are not what wins. It's the players. I think you'll see this year that if he tries to run the "Tennessee 2". We DON'T have the players suited to run that system.
