NFL QB combine

People are projecting what they want to happen with him because they don't like him. They are not being reasonable. I think he is an immature pos but one hell of a QB.

Same could be said for Manziel, but that doesn't seem to be working out too well.

Granted Manziel is even less mature.

I read somewhere that Tom Brady was horrible at the NFL combine and we see how that worked out.

That will increase his chances of being a bust, TB hasn't been too successful at drafting a great QB.

Steve Young, Doug Williams and Trent Dilfer all won super bowls. Testeverde had a solid NFL career.

Not every NFL franchise is the Green Bay Packers but that list is pretty good.

Wonder how well he would have turned out with say the Raiders or Browns instead of a team already winning divisions.

That's a really good Q.

I think for QBs and coaches at that level, that success has a lot to do with "fit".

MM's strengths may fit at Philly under CCK. I would like to see it personally just for the entertainment value.

He's skilled a bit like Heath Shuler. Superstar productive college QB who could kill with feet and arm. Got put in a pure pocket passer role at Washington and disintegrated. That was never his game, yet they determined to crow bar him in there. If someone tries MM that way, I see similar results.

word here is that they are stayin far away from winston. but that is just radio rumor. The baggage puts the coaches in a situation of too much risk. While I said the previous info is radio rumor, it makes sense.

If Tampa passes, what will the Titans do? Do they pass on Winston too?

The most interesting thing to me is that Tampa hired an OC who runs the spread, that requires a running QB. The new OC and Jake will NOT be running a traditional pro style offense. This seems to fit Mariota's skill set much better than Winston.

Jameis was 16 for 16 in passing Drills with receivers he has never worked with before. That's more than impressive

He throws to receivers late. Threw a ton a pics this year because of it. He waits for people to get it open. I would draft neither with my first pic. I don't understand taking a chance with the first pic. And for those of you saying whaaa, both qb's are chances. You can't say that either are a sure fire qb like Luck or Peyton. I'm sorry, but I would want a sure fire player with my first pic or at least a player that I know is more than likely going to still be playing in 8 years. Btw, im referring to any yram with a top 15 pic. After 15 or so, youre team prolly isnt hurting as much for so many needs. So many teams have proven that you can draft qb's later and get better return. Wilson, Brees, Romo, Dalton, and Brady To name a few examples of quality guys that were drafted later. Lastly, you do have a few guys drafted early who are doing well, but of those qb's the majority felt they would transition well anyways.

The only thing they have in common is skin color. Winston will be great. He will be the number one pick for a reason. Geno was a second round pick. Huge difference. I hope a miracle happens and the Titans get him. If not, Hundley second round.

Please don't curse my Titans.

If my Titans draft Winston I'll be burning everything I own with Titans on it and have to look for a new NFL team to cheer for.

IMO Winston is a POS and wasted money since the NFL commish will be waiting for his chance to suspend him over and over until his NFL career ends.

Titans need lots of positions filled so a really good trade might be for the best.

If I had the 2nd pick I would take the DT/DE out of USC that's a beast and will be a nightmare for the QB's we play.

I wish I could remember his name but the majority of the mock drafts have us taking him and a elite pass rusher that can set the edge and stop the run will get our Titans some Wins.

They didn't pick Young in the college draft, they got him after the USFL folded, then swapped him to SF for two draft picks (2nd and 4th round) so they could take Testaverde.

Look at the fastest 40 times in the last 10 years and who they are. It will show you that 40 times are way over rated. The guys are by no means NFL prime time players. I don't know why folks get caught up with 40 speed.

I disagree. If you look at the guys who run a 4.39 or better, there are a lot of top guys each year.

I'd be shocked if Dobbs isn't at least in the 4.7s. Winston probably is too, when he's in playing shape.
