I found this list of top 300 draft eligible players. Only 3 Vols on here, Baron at #169, McCoy (who isn't playing) at #282, and Milton at #298. Compare that with our opponents like Alabama and Georgia who have too many to count. Kentucky has more. Hell, Vandy's highest player is higher than Tennessee's. Florida has two higher than Tennessee's highest ranked player.

I think this highlights that Tennessee is still not playing with close to the same hand, talent-wise, as the teams it's competing with.

My guess is Mincey moves back left, Karic and Nichols battle for LG, and LJ3 gets an opportunity to step into the RT role. I also assume there will be several portal additions. I don't think anyone comes in and starts as Freshman, unless maybe Seaton commits, but that's also a huge IF.

They really gotta develop the young talent this offseason. Ellarbee is going to have to earn his pay these next 2 seasons.

I think that bodes well for next year. IF, and it's a big IF atp, Sprag and Coop come back, this line could be much improved, which is exactly what this O needs, especially when breaking in a new Qb.

Hope the oline improves, but they have been pretty dang good this year.

I'm sure this is a longshot, but I wonder if Mays would elect to return a final year if he's not projected until the later rounds, if that? I think I read somewhere that he technically has one more season of eligibility if he chooses. Maybe they work a nice NIL deal for him to stay one more season and he works his way up?

Hadden, McCoy, Milton, Wright, Sampson, J. CAMPBELL, Baron, O. Thomas, Mincey, Pearce, Spraggins would all be my guesses as to who is drafted. McCoy and Mincey will likely return. Mincey would probably be the LT next year vs a freshman protecting Nico. If he plays well then he goes higher in the draft. Bru needs to return off injury and show he can play effectively after that injury. But all of those guys have NFL talent. Hell maybe Eason too. Yes I know Sampson isn't eligible for the draft yet

Their run blocking has vastly improved as the season has gone on. The pass pro has been inconsistent at best.

Milton is one of the least sacked qbs in the country, and it isn’t because of his quick reactions.

If we are arguing with Stats, go check out their PFF grades for pass blocking. Cainer does them every week on youtube. It’s appalling, especially earlier this season.

Besides, Heup is not asking Joe to make 3-4 reads very often. In fact I would argue that they cut him off at 2 reads and tuck and run, which Joe has done so much better since October started/ he got healthy again.

I’m arguing with what I see, and it’s not that bad. But okay 👍.

I don’t worship at the altar of PFF. No hate if you use your own store bought virgins.

Neither do I, but they definitely mean something, especially when there is a huge difference between run grades and pass pro grades

Umarov will have something to say about that RT spot, I'm guessing. They like him. If Mincey, Spraggins, and Mays all return, that's HUGE for next year. Add some portal guys and development from Nichols, Umarov, LJ3, and Karic, and we could have a very good Oline.

Neither Pearce nor Sampson are eligible to be drafted this year. With the year Wright has had I agree - he'll probably get drafted, and I don't know if Small has any eligibility remaining.

Agreed. I would be stoked if Umarov or any of the underclassman can contribute.
