I'd love to have heard this conversation.

I love the fact that AZ is bringing suit or considering bringing suit about Fast and Furious. If the Feds can selectively bring suits against states/cities for immigration infringement then turn about is fair play.

Just saw Jan Brewer give her account. Just a bizarre encounter all the way around. Odd for her to be standing there waiting on the plane. Odd for the President to handle it so poorly. If was going to do that, why the heck do it in front of cameras?

Looks like she is reading him the riot act. Rightfully so.

Drudge has a story about Obama getting off of Air Force One in Arizona, greeting Republican governor Jan Brewer, and immediately giving her a piece of his mind. Evidently our president did not appreciate something Brewer wrote about him. According to the pool report, they had a testy exchange from which the president walked away as Brewer was still speaking.

Sound familiar? Bobby Jindal got the same treatment when Obama came to visit Louisiana and the governor met him on the tarmac. Jindal would later recount in his book:

These idiots are just falling all over each other trying to get some free press by disrespecting the POTUS. Whether its the guy who wouldn't go to the SOTU or this shrew, they just want some free publicity from the right wing hate machine for being dickish.

I'm sure you'd want everyone to fall in line if McCain were president, too.

Apparently Obama started it. I'll go off that, unless Obama wants to share his account.

You said "the TP in this thread". Still not following you.

All I was pointing out is how bad a move it was to chew the lady out on the Tarmac in front of cameras. Just didn't make sense.

Interesting that Obama started the conversation by complaining about her book.

I seem to recall him personally calling out the Supreme Court in a SOTU (another unprecedented move) with an exaggerated interpretation of their ruling.

Disrespectful?
