Thought from context of posts itt that she confronted him.
Not according to the accounts that are out there so far. She greeted him, handed him a letter and he started in on her about how she characterized him in her book and the whole thing went downhill before he turned around and walked off with her in mid sentence.
how presidential
That's what you do if you are the leader of the country and some nagging shrew glory hog tries to put you on the spot as yet another cheap publicity stunt to mollify your far right loon base.
He's no dummy. She'll get hers, in the end. She just did a huge disservice to the people of Arizona.

Her insolence should not be tolerated.
She is an embarrassment. I don;t care who you are or how right you might be. You don't go get yourself some press coverage by coming up to the POTUS and wagging your finger in his face.
I would say the same thing had someone done it to Bush.
It is beneath the dignity of the office (both of their offices) and it was cheap. Terribly cheap.
He was right to simply ignore her little rant.

Sorry but the POTUS lost this "battle"
Dead wrong.
This episode is emblematic of the far right's simple refusal to acknowledge Obama as legitimate. From the birther nonsense, to insinuating that he is a Muslim, to the whole Kenyan thing, to the food stamp president label, the far right has repeatedly galvanized around the hatred of the loons for this man.
Now they aren't coming to SOTU and then Brewer puts on her little show.
Those of you claiming to be patriotic and taking glee in this should be ashamed of yourselves as it belittles, not just the man, but the office. An office you claim to respect and representative of a country you claim to honor.
Why would she wait at the steps of Air Force One other than to incite a reaction from him? Not agreeing with LG here, it just looks fishy. Definitely not handled well by Obama.

Good for him for basically saying "F you, bit**."
