Sorry LG, but O's boy Putin would never let a woman give him the "dominator handshake" and then point a finger in his face. He looks weak and ran like a scared boy

Her insolence should not be tolerated.

She is an embarrassment. I don;t care who you are or how right you might be. You don't go get yourself some press coverage by coming up to the POTUS and wagging your finger in his face.

I would say the same thing had someone done it to Bush.

It is beneath the dignity of the office (both of their offices) and it was cheap. Terribly cheap.

He was right to simply ignore her little rant.

BS

Those of you claiming to be patriotic and taking glee in this should be ashamed of yourselves as it belittles, not just the man, but the office. An office you claim to respect and representative of a country you claim to honor.

I don't respect what the office of the President has become starting with Teddy Roosevelt.

100 % yes I would have.

Poor John Huntsman got repeatedly dinged for honoring the office because, when he got the call to serve, even from Obama, he stepped up and proudly worked with this administration as an ambassador of the country.

And just to remind you of how stupid it was of the GOP electorate to end up making this a Romney-Newt final, which is basically the most inept they could find, I remind you of what things might have been like had a rational person like Huntsman been able to continue.

We could have been looking at them every day. GOP voters in Iowa and NH = idiots, imo.

Im sure you would :ermm:. I believe that about as much as I do Obama really trying balance a budget.

I have yet to see a link that portrays what you seem to think happened. If he initiated the heated part of the discussion by questioning her about her book, he asked for it and couldn't deal with the response. Prolly why he walked away.

And I think its because he decided she's just a punk and he wasn't going to participate in her charade any further.

Not much more to say.

Im sure he was thinking that on the plane ride over. Everybody that disagrees with him is considered a racist punk Im sure.

Bringing both sides together like no other.

Elected officials deserve respect - except governors?

Excect governors that have the R attached at the end.

In such cases:

Mobster wisdom tells us never to bring a knife to a gun fight. But what does political wisdom say about bringing a gun to a knife fight?

That's exactly what Barack Obama said he would do to counter Republican attacks "If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun," Obama said

I don't recall seeing him wag his finger in her face, or waiting at the bottom of the stairs of her plane to present a handwritten letter and cause a confrontation just to grab some headlines with the nutjobs.

Regardless of who is right about whether he was cordial a year earlier in the WH, or her book's commentary was right or wrong, you deal with that in interviews with the press or your own speeches.

Decorum demands that you put aside your differences and be respectful to the president and his office.

Period.

Doesn't decorum demand you not call out the Supreme Court while they are sitting silently in front of you in the SOTU?

I believe the office deserves respect but so do other offices - he has a list of instances where he fell of the decorum wagon himself.

I'm not pro-Brewer in this case but I don't see the outrage in her meeting him, him lecturing her and then walking away without letting her finish her thoughts.

I was not personally fond of that moment, but he didn't get up in their face about it.

And your rendition of events in this incident conveniently leaves a few things out.

or not call out a Representative after you've specifically invited him to sit in the front row of a major speech on economic policy?

"personally fond" lol. No, he waited for the SOTUS.

He should have just rolled this gem out
Good for him for basically saying "F you, bit**."
on national TV.

I missed this winner the first time.

Maybe one of your goofier comments in a while.

Since you mentioned 'fast and furious' earlier in the thread, here is the latest:

Sipsey Street Irregulars: Sipsey Street Exclusive: Fifth Amendment Theater. A Whole Flock of Designated Goats. The Issa Committee will have an announcement in the morning.

There are rumors floating about regarding the three Assistant U.S. Attorneys in Phoenix during the Fast and Furious clandestine operation, one of whom, Patrick Cunningham, has already resigned and claimed Fifth Amendment protections. I am reliably informed by an investigation insider that the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee will have an announcement on this in the morning.

That would be today but I havn't run accross anything yet, of course you know the media won't be covering it.

Why is this man smiling?
He's taking the Fifth, of course.

Back when the 'Party' Party was writing in Mickey Mouse for president, little did we know we would eventually win.

Interesting.

After the meeting, Brewer came out of the meeting and told the press that the meeting was good, "cordial," friendly.

A year later, in her book, she says he was patronizing and condescending.

Kudos to Obama for showing this hack to be the hack she is.

That's what you do if you are the leader of the country and some nagging shrew glory hog tries to put you on the spot as yet another cheap publicity stunt to mollify your far right loon base.

He's no dummy. She'll get hers, in the end. She just did a huge disservice to the people of Arizona.

Not really. Obama has already declared war (of sorts) against Arizona and Texas.
