Saw Nick King and his family eating with CCM and his staff at Rocky Top Cafe. Cuonzo Martin was really talking to his parents and they seemed to be loving him! I know nick is from memphis and many people have said that he is a memphis lean but after seeing his parents talking with Cuonzo, I don't know how they wouldn't let their kid not be coached/mentored by him. Here's to hoping we can get him. GBO!

Nick is getting around. He was on Memphis' campus for an "unofficial visit" yesterday. Wonder if he stops at Vandy on teh way home?

Just getting him on campus is big. I figured that would never happen. Probably a Memphis lock but at some point these kids and their families are going to start becoming skeptical of Pastner's coaching abilities if he doesn't make at least a run to the Sweet 16 soon. His roster's have been absolutely loaded, easily Top 10 talent on paper with little to show for it.

I've been saying the same, and the Memphis faithful get quite defensive. King is waiting to decide, according to him. If Tennessee has a great year, and menphis has another disappointing season, id expect him to consider his decision a bit more in depth.

Nick will take all the officials he can prior to November, I bet.

Won't really matter if he's announcing in November, though, if that's what happens.

If you believe Gary Parrish (I dont) he says Nick King is a LOCK for Memphis...not for sure how you can make that statement at this point in the process...may play out that way...but glad he's here and hope he enjoys it...

Yeah this really is the rap on Josh....seems like a good guy but man with talent literally spilling over your doorstep every year he has got to do more with what he has....just no other way to see it....Now I do agree that several of the prospects he recruited were extremely overrated and Josh would probably tell you that as well...but after awhile that band won't play...

If a highschool kid really is a lock for another school, then why waste money coming all the way from Memphis? Seems pointless unless he isn't sold on Memphis. I don't see this kid coming to UT but this is the recruit I've always wanted.

He'll have to start beating elite teams and he needs to get an NCAA win this season. I actually think he would've/could've gotten one last year, but being seeded an 8th against St. Louis was brutal. Pastner is still an extremely young coach and needs to tighten up his courtside decision making, but that will come with time.

He gets talent (only 3 coaches have recruited more McDs AAs over the past 3 years), and has it in spades this season. It'll also be his oldest team. We'll see how the season plays out, but if he can't do it with this team, he can't do it.

This is surprising news. I like Nick King a lot but at this point it's hard for me to get excited about anything on the basketball forum related to recruiting until I hear something official.
