Agree 100%, I actually just told a friend of mine the exact same thing. He has no advantage over everyone else anymore, plus he’s got nothing else to prove.NIL pulled the rug right out from under SABAN!
— Once he realized that ALL schools can pay their players now - he knew that he no longer had the advantage….
Bama has been doing that for decades!!!!
I think the first one definitely says no (assuming you’re correct of course). I’m about 50-50 on the second one. What’s the benefit of Bama over Texas? The last one is likely to say yes if offered. The offers will go Kirby, Sark, Lanning...if it goes past those three, the Bama AD will get on his knees and beg Saban to be "coach emeritus" for a year while the 2nd tier gets his feet wet.
2nd tier guys there are most places 1st choice guys...the Kiffins, Days, Franklin's, etc.
Wow you can see the future, wonderful. Kiffin no good for the rest of his life. Can you help with some stock selections ? We should all listen to your greatness. You’re clearly a genius. What did I say to indicate I hate Kiffin since you clearly glean way more than the average human from a couple posts? Enlighten me oh great one, let me bask in your genius!
I just don’t think he’s close to the all time greatest coach given he’s literally been an 8-4 coach everywhere he’s been. Maybe he’s finally breaking through that at Ole Miss, maybe. Time will tell. But Saban he is not. The end.
Good try with that pathetic attempt to do what I just did to you. I literally said time will tell. You really are a genius. I hope you’re young, if so I’ll give your “genius” a pass. Live and learn.Wow you can see the future, wonderful. Kiffin no good for the rest of his life. Can you help with some stock selections ? We should all listen to your greatness.
Such news is worth my temp-visiting.
Comment 1: I wouldn't be surprised if he stays one more year due to players begging him to as happened with Urban. Perhaps promising to send him off with one more natty.
Comment 2: I got a sneaking suspicion that the rise of both Kirby and Kiffin is a factor in this as well. Might also be the harbinger of UT first half with a weaker team telling him we're coming. He did last year moan and groan at the UT being on his permanent opponent schedule.
Comment 3: Without a doubt, the NIL has dented his pay to play scheme, so he can't continue to have a monopoly on buying top recruits.
Comment 4: The man is filthy rich, got nothing more to prove. Has a house in flooding Florida (should have picked Idaho, Wyoming, or one of the Dakotas for peace and quiet) so he sort of already said goodbye.
Comment 5: Replacement candidates? The dog said it is a toss up between Kirby, Kiffin, and James Franklin . disagree, sorry dog. I think it will be ( go ahead and laugh) Bill Bilichick, Pete Carroll, or Ron Riveria. As for Saban, well:
There was blood on the saddle and blood all around
And a great big puddle of blood on the ground
A cowboy lay in it all covered with gore
And he never will ride any broncos no more
Oh, pity the cowboy, all bloody and red
For the bronco fell on him and bashed in his head
There was blood on the saddle and blood all around
And a great big puddle of blood on the ground
Yeah Bama clearly dropped off. They were just gonna become nothing more than an average team in the NIL era. Dude get real. Every team that has had any modicum of success has been cheating. Stop acting like Bama is the only one.NIL pulled the rug right out from under SABAN!
