Nick Saban Retiring - CONFIRMED

Yeah Bama clearly dropped off. They were just gonna become nothing more than an average team in the NIL era. Dude get real. Every team that has had any modicum of success has been cheating. Stop acting like Bama is the only one.

Saban probably works harder at 72 than most do who are 30 years younger. He has the #2 ranked recruiting class for 2024. Yeah he lost all advantages 😂😂😂😂
That recruiting class is about to fall apart

Isn't Pete Carrol staying on in a front office role? Doubt he leaves that cushy job to follow Saban. He's getting up there too.

I honestly, as a fan, want to see him come back to college but I doubt he will. I think he got burnt out with NCAA Football with the entire Reggie Bush thing. It was bad at the time but frankly seems like small beans compared to stuff today.

Honestly I like kiffin and think he could win a natty in his career. Just not 7.
Maybe. I don’t think he will but it’s possible when you start looking at the coaches around the country. There’s a lot of mediocrity really. Who’s elite outside of Kirby now with Saban gone? I really hope Heupel is. He seems to have the potential.

It's been known in circles for the past 2 years he was retiring(Spoke about this in the Rf back then) so them having someone already in the works should be a giving.Old man can't game the system anymore so he's taking his ball and going home.Im just happy we whooped that ass one good time.I mean between Nico,Neyland last year and NIL were lucky the man ain't on bath salts from what little meltdown we were privy too...

If Alabama wants to win like Saban did over the next 10-15 years you back the truck up to Kirby (don’t think he’s leaving UGA though). Kiffin would be my second choice and would win, just not at the level Kirby would.

My goodness yall can you imagine after 17 years of not having to worry about it, then one day you have to make a decision, and you pick Pruitt or Butch or Dooley or Jimbo...HAHAHHAAAAAA

ESPN will run a two-week series on whoever his replacement is and be the new media darling. Brian Kelly will get jealous.

The dude is 72. At 72 a lot of things change you no longer want to deal with. Nor do you need to.
With an average Bama team he came within a cats whisker ( Milrore fumble) of getting to another championship game. He wanted one more and it didn't happen..I guess Eastwood was right. A man's got to know his limitations.
With that said I'm glad that old **** is done.

NIL pulled the rug right out from under SABAN!

— Once he realized that ALL schools can pay their players now - he knew that he no longer had the advantage….

Bama has been doing that for decades!!!!
CORRECT - he's pissed that ALL teams have NIL money for players now. UAT was one of the few that had NIL $$ way back before other teams got it. When Bahr came to UAT he and his boosters started their version of NIL. He was big pals with Logan Young and Logan's dad. Now the competitive advantage is gone.

I hope whoever they pick puts them on a downward spiral, similar to what we went threw would love nothing else..

If this is true, we need a Vol fan in Birmingham who is Catholic and knows the routine... to go to the Vulcan Statue and watch for smoke coming out of Commissioner Greg Sankey's a$$ as that will mean bama's got a new coach!
Wonder if Saban is going to stiff paying his referees on his way out. Secondly, can we pick up any of Bama's 5 stars for the OL???????
