The guy was a sham to begin with. He got lucky. That school was primed and ready for a few years success from the previous coaches and with his connections to recruiting from his time at miami all he had to do was sit back let the recruits roll in and collect a paycheck while the university paid espn to promote themselves. The only reason he got the job is because he was a name connected with the nfl and he was hired to appease the bama faithful. As soon as the playoffs were announced I told you bama couldn't do a playoff because they are too fat and too big to last through a playoff. He can't hang with a playoff system. He really doesn't know what he's doing, and now you have kitten running the show. Good luck.
(can we no longer post photos from photo bucket?)
1. his connections in recruiting from Miami while he was the Dolphin's head coach? do NFL coaches build recruiting connections? also how much of his team comes from the Miami area, i would bet no more than other parts.
2. Yeah he was a no name hack that had never made anything of himself before. besides a national title while playing in the SEC.
3. and couldn't make it through the playoffs? to bad the fact that this year they played the same number of games they would have had to under the BCS, your point doesnt add up.
4. so if he doesn't know what he is doing why have they had so much success in the past with him, and why if he is only a name is the school paying him so much? seems like they through money at him when rumors of his jump back to the NFL or Texas come up. implies more than him being a name.
I give him two more years at the most. He will try to ride it as long as he can but when it becomes apparent to him that it's no longer working he will bolt. Thing about saban is he may not be able to call it quits till it's too late. I will enjoy watching bama return to the red clay from which it came.
^^^says freshman bammer fan. I already answered your questions. I have a sink to fix bammer fan.
Weeeelllllll... I see how bammer fans are. Kicking a man while he has his head under a sink. Just like a bammer fan. Showing true colors. You know what we do to bammer fans around here? paint them red and set their hair on fire.

You gotta be under a certain age to believe what they sell you about saban.
Hey bammerwriter you know why their pants are red? Cause Ole Miss spanked that ass.
I got to go rebuild this sink now. Feel free to pile on while a man isn't looking.
For a man who loves college football, Nick Saban sure does seem to have a lot of problems with the state of the game. The more he talks these days, the more it sounds like he's not crazy about the way the game is played or the way the game is run.
"I learned what I feared the most would happen. All the attention, all the interest would be about the four teams in the playoffs, which is exactly what happened, which was great to be a part of."
"But what I was most fearful of is college football is unique. A lot of young men get a lot of positive self gratification from being able to go to a bowl game and that's always been a special thing. That by having a playoff we would minimize the interest in other bowl games, which I think is sort of what happened and I hate to see that for college football."
"Maybe we need to go one way or the other," Saban said. "Either have bowl games or have playoffs but not try to have both."
Nick Saban retire? Sounds crazy but he seems unhappy with the game he loves | AL.com
