Nick Saban

There is nothing harmful in disliking a whiner .... and he totally is one.

Debatable.

I'm still waiting for an explanation, which would have fallen within NCAA rules governing impermissible benefits at the time, concerning how Trent Richardson was driving a tricked-out GMC Yukon around Chilton County, Alabama in 2011 (retail value $40K - without the large rims).

Also, nobody talks about over-signing anymore, but there is no question that Saban was circumventing scholarship limits for years.
Alabama has been the highest paid amatuer team in the Nation for years until Smart took over at GA then it became a pretty close arms race!

Sure ..... but he is a whiner. I would not have liked it, if Heupel had acted the same way last year. They did not belong in the CFP with 2 losses (neither did we) .... but Saban was expecting preferential treatment. It's entitlement.

I'd love the winning not the coach...he's still a jackwagon.

Sorry but I'm going to have to call bullshot on these posts.

Does it make sense that Jeremy Pruitt was abiding by NCAA rules while at Alabama .... but he and his wife were handing out McDonald's bags stuffed with cash at Tennessee? Or is it more likely that he was doing much the same thing while a DC at Alabama?

Call it whatever you want I don't have to like the coach to like the results, and yes I would vote to hire the man in a minute...but I still wouldn't like him as a person.

Should be easy to prosecute since the evidence is so apparent.
Not sure how anyone can flaunt the rules with his level of success and nothing actionable squeaks out.

We can hate him for more than one reason. He is also a whiner. His complaints over not getting into the CFP with 2 losses last year were ridiculous. I'm glad that Heupel didn't follow suit.
You think he's suppose to say yeah we suck and my players just aren't that good? Lol. CJH or any other coach would be doing the same dang thing for their team if they were just on the outside looking in.

That's naive. Jeremy Pruitt was such a brazen cheater at Tennessee. Did he really abide by NCAA rules at his alma mater?

It doesn't have to be one thing or the other. They lost twice. All I would expect him to do is accept the CFP committee's decision, and not carry such an air of entitlement.

And Josh Heupel had a better case for being in the playoff than Saban did a year ago. They finished with the same conference record and overall record ... but Tennessee had won the head-to-head matchup. Heupel did not incessantly whine about being left out of the CFP, as Nick Saban did (and continued to do, even at the SEC media days). You are just wrong.

If his whining got us into the playoffs you would have loved it.
Saban's whining at the 2023 SEC media days wasn't going to change a damn thing. It was 6 months after the damn season had ended! It was pure whining.

Entitlement but if anyone has earned entitled treatment it’s him.

Yes, it was pure whining but that isn't the discussion.

No. Past success should not entitle any football program to preferential treatment.
I agree with you but he gets it. He’s so beloved by that fanbase that it doesn’t matter what he does so long as he wins they’re going to think he walks on water.

Can we all agree that he’s over stayed his welcome?

Biased officiating and the CF committee handing him a free ride to the play offs is truly sickening.

I respect him as a coach but I can’t stand the guy anymore.
I am sure you would be saying the exact same thing if he had been our coach all this time 😂😂😂😂😂

After that Jermain Burton incident, I have no respect for the guy regardless where he coaches.

That’s an A list b*tch move on his part.

That's assumptive and circumstantial. Pruitt couldn't pull it off for 3 years but Saban is doing it for almost 20???

I, too, wonder how he can recruit at the level he does. But until the report comes out with provable, trackable info I will not assail his character.

It's ok to assail his character, he's the enemy.
