I didn't link the song because IMO its terrible, Monster Mash. Most best nicknames just happen but, I guess Sports Reporters do make some up, that stick.1704719857094.png

Looking ahead to next season I still love the potential of our roster. We likely have all these guys returning; Zeigler, Gainey, Mashack, Awaka, Aidoo. Then you got the freshman who have flashed potential like Carr, Dillione, Estrella, and Phillips. Get a transfer or 2 to go along with these guys and let’s cook again. Rick Barnes seriously has us set up for multiple years of success. I don’t know how good Boswell will be, but I love his potential as a bigger PG.

He needs to be called "Starter" and given starter minutes. He is better than a couple of guys he has been playing behind.

He also needs to be more assertive on the offensive end.
I think he's done well knowing when to force the action and when to let it come to him. Also thought for a while he needed a shooting game that sticks out to him, so hopefully Sat was it. His penetration will only be more affective if teams have to respect his outside shot cause he's already popped 2-3 on em.

Knecht. He is better at every phase of the game except shooting and he's even doing that better recently.
Agree with the recency bias, but other Vol players are getting better looks due to defenders keying on Knecht. This currently doesn’t happen with Mashack. I’m one of the biggest Mashack cheerleaders on here, but I know that Knecht’s offensive potential is way higher. Mashack is playing great, earning and receiving more PT. Maybe taking a few minutes from 3-4 guys for more Mashack might be the better choice? Gainey is in a slump, but I’d hate to quit playing him any as he’ll likely be needed before the season’s done. I was wondering if that was the one. Over the last few weeks, you can make a case for that. Teams continue to go at Knecht on the defensive end and have some level of success. Not sure if the ankle is still bothering Knecht, he is having a hard time scoring. Teams are bodying him up to take away his 3 and recently, he is struggling mightily to get to and score at the rim.

Just like Key last year, Knecht had a lot of offensive success early but struggled to adapt when teams got a good scout on him. Hope Knecht can make the needed adjustments. We need the Chapel Hill Knecht.

There is room for both to play well and get plenty of minutes. That's what neeeds to happen. Kneght has been struggling. I hope to see something good from him tonight.

Please don't compare Knecht with Key.

Gainey already has that distinction
