Nico "I Love Road Games More Than Home Games..."

I am also gonna say that Heupel taking the ball from Nico at Oklahoma stunted his development imo. I think he knows it also or he wouldn't have explained himself to Nico like he did. It probably caused Nico to lose a little confidence. Tough game ahead and I feel like this whole thread is a shot at our QB OP. Otherwise why bring up something that was said 2/3's a season ago ?

I think the key is consistency. GA is a better team than ARK, but GA has shown signs of inconsistent play and Beck can throw an INT if not careful. Look at the TN-ARK stats. ARK played a consistent game with no turnovers. If GA plays inconsistent and we win the turnover margin, we have a good shot at beating them. However, if they play a solid, consistent game they'll beat us. Just my opinion.
Seems like UGA is more vulnerable in the midrange routes and over the middle, confusing them. If we get those going, including TE action, it will definitely open up run gaps

I really doubt that. If that caused a QB to lose confidence, he's got no business playing big boy football. Highly doubt that is the case

It is amazing how many people question him when his record as a starting QB is 9-1.
Correct obviously, but this game will be different than just D doing the heavy lifting. If we don’t turn the ball over and Nico plays a B type game at minimum to keep UGA honest for the run game, I think we’ll be in it.

Take the over if there is a bet out there for corner blitzed from uga.

I bet Nico sees at least 5
I remember a UGA corner blitz that hit Brian Maurer square in the back and just murdered him. I still don't know how he got up from that one. I cant remember that game completely but seems like Maurer completed a bomb after that massive hit and then got concussed later in the game and was basically an after thought the rest of the year and moved on to Memphis I think.

We're batting .500 on the road thus far this season. .667 if you include "neutral site" (but in their state) vs NC State.

Don't just focus on the negative. Don't just bring up Arkansas. It's a mixed bag so far. Here's hoping we go to .667 (or .750, if you include Charlotte) on Saturday.

Go Vols!

Steady dose of Sampson (duh) and throwing it deep to hit a big play or draw PI. I do think we see more creativity than last week. Maybe they go back to throwing to the TEs like they did against Kentucky.
This is the game to put it all on tape. I feel like we need to get to the last page of the playbook.

I hope we focus on short to mid passes more. We need to keep UGA honest to open up the deep stuff. We will not get a lot of explosives in this one.

I feel like we would be better off with dink and dunk, chew up clock, and run the ball trip offense. We can do that out of both the wide splits and 12 man looks.

Lean on the D. I think if we can turn Beck over a few times UGA will be in trouble. It also helps that UGA doesn’t have a prolific run threat this year.

Here’s an annoying stat about Georgia, they havent lost at home in a little more than five years. Last loss was in 2019 to South Carolina.
Here's a more favorable one. The last time UGA lost to Ole Miss, we beat them the very next week in Athens. That game also put the nail in the coffin on UGA.
