Uggghhhh. That's about all I can say to Nico

Why did I know that Nico was gonna be like the girl who cheated on you but still blames you for the breakup?

Dude needs to spend the next 4 months trying to learn the UCLA offense instead of running his mouth about UT. Lord knows he didn't learn our offense on over two years

Poor baby!

Nothing more than an attempt at damage control. Instead of addressing the main issue (your father), you redirect. Nico has not learned where the poison is coming from. For that, I feel sorry for him.

If that was the case he'd still be here. Nobody else is going to pay him more than we were paying him. If he goes to UCLA, he's REALLY going to be making less with California taxes & overall cost of living. He screwed himself royally.
OH BS! Don't believe for a minute that he and his daddy didn't think someone would pony up more than UT. That is the reason they were shopping him around! Now, the family will make excuses about it being about playing with a better OL and WR core around him. If he does go to UCLA, that won't be the case!

"In the College Football Playoff game against Ohio State, Nico Iamaleava completed 14 of 31 passes for 104 yards. He also rushed for 47 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries. The game resulted in a 42-17 loss for Tennessee. Iamaleava faced pressure on each of his first seven pass plays and was sacked twice, Yahoo Sports notes. "

These stats looks really mediocre (at best!) for a guy who just wouldn't quit. This is under 200 yards of offense from a 5star rated player. Honestly, this was pathetic.
Did you watch the game? The only way he got those stats was on his own. I’m not a Nico supporter and I’m glad he and his family are gone but you can’t look at those stats and conclude he wasn’t trying.

Concluded it when I watched it and would rather not revisit it ever again. A decent QB should at least be able to pass for over 200 yards.

On Volnation, sportswriters or some type of social media?

post that link.
Here you go, 3 days before Nico's post, it's been chattered about everywhere. In Pate's defense it's not really what he said but people took it and ran with it.

No . They extremely overvalued him and what other teams would pay.
Now that they know, they ain’t no coming back here after all the BS they have said.

Love him or hate him; Nico played his ass off in that playoff game. One of the few on the team that actually did.
That he did .
Maybe he was just an Allen Iverson without the game to be an Allen Iverson.

Not showing up for NIL obligations, missing practice, 🤷🏻‍♂️

In hindsight, the first time I saw a picture of the kid in the wild outfit, the crazy hairdo, the name too good to make-up plus the $8M price tag - I thought "this won't end well".

Nico tried to hold out before the playoff game and before practice this season.

His camp then messes up his deal here and he gets sent packing.

Now he attempts to obfuscate the issue by making up an accusation levied at him, “trying to throw a playoff game”.

This is a sad attempt at damage control and made more clear by him deleting those post. He’s screwed up his career and this is him floundering.

I think Nico tries to separate himself from what his dad is doing behind the scenes but ultimately Nico is an adult now and is responsible for his own actions. Nico is a good player and does play with passion when he's on the field but he lets way too many people's outside opinions run his life and effect his actions off the field. So he just looks like a greedy, 5 star player with overly high expectations and inflated self worth. He'll figure this out one day but it is obvious he hasn't figured it out yet.

He was fighting for every yard and getting crushed. I hate to defend the guy, but he was absolutely laying it all out there in that game.
His laying it all on the line was just a legit QB's off day. Just remember it only amounted to under 200 yards of total offense. Needed a heck of a lot more than that from a guy who was rated 5stars.

I have seen elite QB's put the entire team on his back and carry them to a win.
