Nico Iamaleava won't redshirt this season

Fulmer was known to play freshman, even to a detriment. Stewart, Manning, Suggs, Clausen, Jamal Lewis, Riggs and others. I remember some DB’s back in the day but not names. Seems one specific, Ronald (maybe) cost us a game against Florida.

Yeh , ok. Maybe I'm getting early dementia and alzheimer's. I remember Manning and Lewis , but forgot the rest were freshman when they started. I do remember Suggs costing me a remote .

Nico Iamaleava could play up to four games and still take a redshirt. But coach Josh Heupel says that's not the plan for the Tennessee quarterback.

Nor should he redshirt. When you sign 5*s and now to millions, you will get them 3 yrs at the most.

honestly this makes a lot of sense. Milton we know is gone after this year and Nico is the best, if not one of the best QB’s in his class and is almost guaranteed the staring position next year. He needs as much experience to make next year an easier transition

AND if he's all everybody thinks he is, Nico will not be here for 4 years any way. Not red shirting him makes total sense if you plan on recruiting other elite QBs. You've got to be able to show them where they should be in the plan if they come. Nico presumabably will be gone after the 2025 season.

Wez, you may not be incorrect. Most of those names were QB’s. It seems to me he liked to settle on a freshman and build around him (except for Tee Martin).
