Nico In Heisman Trophy Conversation

He might put up some crazy numbers. I don't think he'll top H.H. in 22, that was legendary stuff, but he could certainly be top of the SEC in all purpose yards. That alone might be enough to warrant an invite to the ceremony. Heupel's offense is almost custom tailored to create a Heisman candidate at QB.

I think he should definitely be in the conversation. We donā€™t know 100% for sure that Nico will live up to expectations, but with the potential of yā€™allā€™s offense and Nicoā€™s talent and upside it certainly warrants being in the conversation. Who knows? I just hope he doesnā€™t win it in Athens, GA.šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚

Honestly though, if he were to rip it up on the road against GA it would be huge! That is exactly the type of game that could sway Heisman votes.

Hendo not being invited was a slap in the face. I havenā€™t watched the presentation since Manjng was snubbed in 1997. I recall telling my wife that ESPN was politicking for Woodson and sure enoughā€¦.. I felt so bad for the young man.

Manning was def the best player in college football. While he never beat FL or won a title, TN never had an elite Defense as they did in 98. The defense has more experience and depth in 1998. Our offense struggled to move the ball vs Florida but the D won the game, causing three or four turnovers.

Yeah, Manning should have won the Heisman that season. I was just a kid and even I knew that. He has since become one of my favorite QBs of all time. Even if he is a dirty stinkin Vol!!! šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£

šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£ I would except Iā€™m more for representing the comeback. Therefore I sport my #18 Broncos jersey!šŸ˜

Seriously though, being a huge football fan, I canā€™t help but love Manning! He was one of the best of all time!!!

Who knows? Carson Beck put up 4,000 yards in a Bobo offense. Had a 24/6 td/int ratio.

I REALLY wish this would stop already. Are they trying to sabotage UT? Nico has really played in ONE GAME. Let's see what he does when the mantle is on him totally before crowning him.
The people that pump this stuff are the first ones to be calling for the coaches head after the first bad game. They are the ones you ABSOLUTLY don't want to be around during any game. They are just annoying. Heisman?? What's that? Who cares?

The top 4 vote getters get the invite to New York. The notion that Hendon was "snubbed" or "slapped in the face" just doesn't make sense. He simply didn't get the votes.

Maybe. But look at the Heisman winning QBs numbers over the past few years.

Young- 67%, 4827 PY, 50 total TDs with 7 INTs.

Williams- 67%, almost 5k total yards, 52 total TDs, 5 INTs

Daniels- 72%, over 5k total yards, 50 total TDs and 4 INTs.

Hooker in 2022: 70%, about 3500 total yards, 32 total TDs and 2 INTs.

I donā€™t know if Nico can approach the numbers of Williams, Daniels or Young.

He absolutely got snubbed. He was leading the Heisman race even late into the season. One injury and he got left off. It was BS whether you want to believe it or not.
