Nico is awesome but…

Dylan Sampson deserves the heisman talk atm. His stats are ridiculous given how many snaps he’s played. Nico will have plenty opportunity to add his name in the conversation. But let’s get D Samps name in the conversation.
I love Dylan and what he has done! We showcased others in the RB room Sat. that look like they are going to be great also.
My view is, Dylan wouldn't have such good numbers without the Great O Line in front of him...yes, Yard after Contact etc. show what a great RB he is.
But, think about this, when a QB drops back to pass, he's on an island all lone with his choices, the OL (and sometime the RB) are the ones to protect him.
My vote, at least at this time, is that Nico deserves the hype so far!
This is his first season QB, he's made some questionable decisions but, he has hit some close windows and dropped some dimes that we have not seen in a looong time...

For Nico to have any shot at the Heisman he would have to improve quite a bit. Only throwing for 173 yards and 1 TD against the worst college team in the nation didn’t help.

Sampson should absolutely be in the Heisman discussion.

Not his fault we are too balanced as a team… Nico will have opportunities to go win a Heisman and have Heisman moments but we are too balanced of a team for his numbers vs over matched teams… if we somehow find a way to go undefeated then he has a good shot even 11-1 or 10-2 likely get him to New York if he has some big time moments… the hype is there.

18 is the single season rushing TD record. That definitely feels in reach if he stays healthy. I know it gets tougher from here. But will be interesting to see if he can reach that. 9 through 3 games is pretty nice.
He will smash that record if he stays healthy… I made a post a while back that his style allows him to finish drives he runs very smooth and easy and is extremely slippery… opposite of wright in that Jalen looked like he was exhausting his tank every run and rarely was able to finish drives after big runs… Sampson also has an excellent nose for the endzone… if he is healthy he will demolish that record this year.
