Nico started out rough again, then something happened. He got dinged and went out of the game. When he returned, the crowd started chanting “Nico, Nico” and he looked a lot different in a big way. He’s hitting passes and well timed runs. I think he grew up a lot in this game. The O Line stepping up helped as well. Great win!

I think he really got dialed in after his 27 yard run in the 3rd quarter.
Funny how a big run that doesn’t get called back can actually get a qb in rhythm… who would’ve ever thought it lol… but that was the most impressive run of his career to date… climb the pocket strong with a shoulder dip through contact and get 20+ I agree after that it was like it kinda clicked and he was playing with more Confidence after that… carry that mo into the bye and then come out firing on all cylinders to finish the season strong.

I think it’ll click for Nico at some point and he could very well win a heisman at some point, but the question is when will it click? If it clicks this year, it’ll be a fun playoff run.

I'm not convinced. I think he muddles through the rest of the season looking like he already has. There were times in that game where he still look like a high school quarterback. That last interception he threw where he just hurled the ball up in the air as he was getting his arm hit was an absolute high school decision. Even if his arm had not been hit, he was throwing a wounded duck. A lot of these young men think that they can just sling the ball up in the air and that they're receiver is just going to snatch it down just like in high school when they were playing far inferior talent. The talent difference in the SEC just doesn't allow that. You can do that against somebody like Texas El Paso or maybe the Akron zips, but you're not doing that against anybody in the SEC.
He's going to get there, but it's going to take more time

100%. I told my family I thought this game would tell how the rest of the season went. He not only turned it, but the way he did was phenomenal to watch. Like a movie.

Goes down hurt. Back up comes in yeets a deep throw INT, things look gloomy, he comes back in and leads us and is throwing soft touch passes left and right. It was a sight to see. I love that young man.

Time will tell. Nico certainly needs to get more consistent.

The long pass down the right sideline was well-executed… Nico moved right immediately after the snap and made the pass on the run. Getting him out of the pocket sooner may help. He’s still missing wide open receivers.

Not a hater. Just an observer who wants the best option on the field.

I’m not sure that last interception he wasn’t throwing for the stands. Tough to judge… he got hit who knows
They got him by his arm when he was trying to throw it out. I think you’re correct. On the replay they were saying it seemed like his intent but that he still was trying to make a play. He should have thrown it harder to the outside for sure, but I respect him for wanting to make a play.

Question is, how do we get the coaches and the players to put together two good halves??
I don’t think, for Nico, it’s really a first half second half thing. This is the first time, all season, he was able to lead like he did. His throws look better than anything we’ve seen all season. I believe from this point forward we will start seeing a different Nico.

I hope you’re correct. As a casual observation, it looked like the tempo of the offense picked up an md Nico played with just a little more confidence in the second half.

100% it did. It really shows how much this offense depends on the QB. I am hopeful.

I don't know man, he needs to hit a couple of big plays more frequently. If he can just get it under control he is good to go.

He needed that hit to realize exactly what he's made of. If you noticed on those runs he ran hard and He lowered his shoulders. That hit he took pissed him off but also Set of the light in his head. You will see him get better from here on.

So what’s your best option for the field?
I mean honestly we know you’re talking directly about Nico, so do you really think there is a better option behind him?

He appeared to put just alittle more air under his throws to Thornton & Brazzell.

Driving the team down the field in the 4th qtr to beat Alabama should give him confidence.
