Six sacks can keep you from throwing deep. Run offense was good but protection offense has got to improveHe didn't throw many, or really any deep passes except the one Keyton missed deep that was a sure touchdown. That was on Keyton because Nico was on point. He didn't throw it to the other team, not even close to it. I'm superstoked for '24!
You could tell Nico was disappointed with Keyton on that play. Got to make that catch! He didn't throw many, or really any deep passes except the one Keyton missed deep that was a sure touchdown. For a veteran QB, I’d agree. But Nico is brand new. His ceiling is high. The talent is there. Now, we’ll CJH and company coach’em up. Pretty good situation … Bru is coming back too.My post wasn’t a knock on Nico. He only attempted 19 passes for 150 yards and was running for his life most of the game. The leading receiver had 50 yards. if I’m a stud receiver I don’t look at this as motivation for me to play there.
The long ball is beautiful but he didn't have to throw it.Nico managed the game,Nico won the game.Great start to a great career.Overall, I think Nico looked great. Yes, he failed to see some open receivers but that's to be expected in someone's first start. NOBODY sees the field perfectly. He looked comfortable in the pocket, he ran when he needed to run and his throws were crisp and accurate. I'd like to see more downfield passing because the one pass he threw to Keyton that Keyton didn't see was a DIME.
