definitely the GOAT, but I think this helps the sport in the long run. I have said for years Saban was too successful for College Football. the concentration of talent, the flat assumption of its Bama and then the also rans, and then the change in expectations amongst everyone else; it was all bad for the sport, and due to Saban's success.
Hopefully we see college football settle down a little. without a dominate dynasty we hopefully see more teams win playoff championships, reset fan expectations where you aren't firing a coach every 3 years because they didn't have Bama type results. hopefully we return to a little more reasonableness and variety. even with the 4 team playoff there was less variety than under the BCS. so much of that had to do with Bama being in it more than every CONFERENCE except the Big 10, and Bama was only behind that entire conference by 1. Bama alone would also tie the rest of the SEC with the most national titles under the playoff, more than any other conference, all by themselves.
