Why are you putting a negative spin on this?

Not a negative spin, just a commentary on the current state of recruiting, with even kids in the 8th grade being evaluated. I'm just saying that all schools lose some commitments, even recruits that have finished high school. It would seem logical that the chance of kids playing musical chairs with the selection process would be even more pronounced when the commitments are this early. Wouldn't you be curious as to how many of these early signings actually pan out? On second thought, probably not.

The AJC Tech fan comments really suprised me. Not that they hurled insults at Tennessee, but that they were so unoriginal and poor. I expected more from little Harvard of Atlanta.

im with knoxvilleguy99.....i really dont like the fact that they both run a 4.7. we are also in it for alot of higher ranked players with spots running out. why take these commits now?

People blow 40 times way out of proportion. If a 4.54 is good enough to get Jerod Mayo drafted by the Patriots, a 4.7 is just fine for a kid who hasn't even started his senior year of high school.

Its just crazy to think that one of these kids would get stronger and faster with a college nutrition and weight program.

Plus it's not like high school LB recruits ever get moved to DE's once they get here.

4.7 isnt that slow any way.. thats for real average for a SEC LB right now..
and there still growing, and theyll get faster as they mature.. they could be running 4.6's in a couple years, and thats fast for a LB.. thats as fast as most WR's..

Jerod Mayo was one of the most Freakishly athetic LB's UT has EVER had, and he ran a 4.54, after 4 years at UT.. so i for real wouldnt worry about a 4.7 speed LB..
but if they had a 4.9, that would be a different story

Am I the only one who thinks that the words Georgia and Technical should never be spoken in the same sentence?
