I remember when there was a waiting list to get season tix. Now they go for 300 bucks.

i still find it very odd that bray, hunter and patterson havent said anything about going pro.. unless i missed statements or something.. you would think that if they knew they were gonna get someone terrible that they would have already announced...something fishy is going on with this coaching search

I was so proud my family had tix since the 70's and other couldn't get any. Still proud we've been Vols that long but doesn't carry as much weight.

Just got off work. This coaching search has been an utter nightmare for me. (and my family). Been consumed with it.

I believe it's been stated that the juniors are waiting to see who the new coach will be. Patterson likely will have to go due to grades is the common thought. They're all obviously in the dark about this just as we are. Can't trust college guys to keep a secret.

They just started a new league(American football) this year in India. So I doubt they have anyone...
Its called EFLI (Elite football league of India)

On the coaching search... Gruden, Fisher, Fedora, Strong, Jones... At this point anyone would do... just finish the damn thing....
It has started to get to my nerves...

I can understand losing out on Gruden, but you got to be kidding me that Fart is going to let UL outbid us for Strong..He is a moron imo. He is driving the final nails in the coffin of our irrelevance.:banghead2:

It was all Strong the last two days and now thats up in the air. I really will be glad when its done. Totally confused from one hr to the next it seems. Looks like we might end up fishing at the bottom again. Good grief! What has happened?!?!

This stuff really hits home when my 8 yr old sons favorite team is oregon.....unless im in the room. Then, of course its tn.

I hear they have a tough cricket team. We could hire their coach! He'd be a home-run compared to what we have left on our coaching list:

1. India's cricket coach
2. Random high school coach
3. Neyland stadium janitor
4. Bob the car mechanic
5. My dog

I don't believe Strong is the kind of candidate you get into a bidding war for, he's not worth $4m or more to us. JMO.

Its getting nasty in K Town. Im wondering where all the orange has gone here in the Nooga. Sick of all these Bama bandwagon freeks. You would think we actually lived in Alabama. Unreal. We are on the border of irrelevance.

I agree. If the offers to all of those average coaches fall through and we don't get Gruden I think we're doomed to be irrelevant for a while.

Unless he has an ace in the hole that no one knows about we will be getting another subpar hire. Even if the person is a good coach it won't matter because they can't compete in the SEC recruiting game without name recognition.

I would love to hang on to the hope that something fishy is goin on. Not much real media coverage, no decision on juniors, not much with recruiting, and absolutely nothing from our beloved AD. But I really wonder if our job has just become so risky that nobody wants it.....no matter how much we will pay. I mean my gosh, we cant even woo charlie strong from louisville without him "sleeping on it."
