Nike and the Berry boys

Here is hoping nike comes out with an all gray vol uni, not unlike the Oregon shade of gray. I liked the smokey grays, but prefer the lighter shade.
The Berry boys are going to turn the star gazers on their heads. Their parents did an excellent job in protecting them and shielding them from unnecessary pressures, for they knew they were going to play college ball somewhere. They did not want them to be unfairly compared to their older sibling.
But it is my belief that both including Elliot are going to be the plums of this class. They will both be all sec and nfl players. You can mark it down. This is coming from the man that told you that Jac smith would be a nice, role player, but would never achieve the greatness that so many predicted. My sons grew up with Jac who was always top heavy and could not change directions quickly. But I digress...
I'm putting my reputation on the line once again...:hi:

There seems to be a lot of people who are saying that many of the incoming freshman are going to be All-SEC and even All-Americans, even though these freshmen have never played a down of college football.

Not a single one of the incoming freshmen is assured of reaching that lofty status. Some people are going to be very disappointed once these freshmen begin playing.

Does anyone remember the very highly rated RB by the name of Gerald Riggs JR that UT had a few seasons ago? How about Jabari Davis? Both Riggs and Davis turned out to be very average.

Actually my son witnessed the altercation. Why bring that up? I felt Jac was being treated unfairly by the experts and knew his career would be labeled as a bust. He was never going to be the great player that was projected.

You didn't KNOW he would be a bust you just hoped that he would... He was a great guy and loved his energy. Everyone that keeps bashing about his lack of containment needs to realize that's part of the coaches job to drill it in his brain... Poor poor coaching killed his chances. He had potential but coaches never got it out of him... In the end you got what you wanted and he didn't turn out to be all that some hoped but that shows how pathetic you are to hope a kid turns out to be a bust. He's a VFL in my book and that's all that matters to me.

A lighter shade of gray would not be school colors so it will not happen.. Smokey Gray or No Gray..

But I am sure Nike has some pretty awesome designs coming for us to prove to us and the world they are better then Adidas or Under Armor.

As far as the Berry's go.. if they are even 75% the player that Eric is/was then I have no doubt they will be all-Americans for us and move on to the NFL.

The Talent we have coming in, it will surprise me a great deal if we do not win a NC before they graduate.

Woooooooo....national championship? We need about three more years of these type classes. One class is not going to cut it.....

I, and probably Willie Gault and a few other players who also ran track, would say that speed can indeed be taught to a degree....i.e. how to run fast. Or faster.

BTW, what other players also ran track back in the days of Wide Receiver U? My mind is drawing a blank...

Sam Graddy was a world class sprinter who played WR in the mid 80's. He never really excelled on the football field but he made a few plays. I think Jonathan Wade ran some track as well but I am not 100 percent sure. KR/WR Leonard Scott was also a track sprinter. Great return guy but didn't have the hands to be a consistent WR.

Based on your previous threads I have read, putting your reputation on the line is a very light bet. JMO

I believe Anthony Hancock WR ran track at UT right before Willie Gault did.
