NIL, Tennessee and Spyre Sports

Just finished this article. Holy cow. I initially thought NIL wasn't going to be such a vital aspect of recruiting for a majority of prospects. It appears I was very wrong, for now.

We do seem to be ahead of the curve, according to the article, and it seems like we're as well-organized and funded as anyone right now (they Spyre guys say the next two years will be crucial to keeping it that way). The line that stuck out to me:

"If you go out and replicate the season Hendon Hooker just had, there's no reason why at the end of the day in deals we do and other companies do or national brands, the quarterback at Tennessee shouldn't make seven figures a year." đź‘€ đź‘€ đź‘€

No. No we're not ahead. All talk at this point by Spyre. 100% marketing spin.

We are DEFINITELY behind UT and TAM. They got their NIL set up and running on all cylinders.

Just ask their linemen pulling $50K a year or our commit Neyor that jumped ship.

Oh lord. TAMU and Texas are not "the curve" smh. They are the peak.

Yet the #1 overall recruit went to Jackson State.

That's a legitimate point. Even so, I would bet my next paycheck that on the whole NIL will disproportionately help FBS schools. There is a limited amount of talent, and even some preferred walk-ons would be taking scholarships to play somewhere downstream. Now they are at FBS schools building depth and getting paid.

Show me - with actual numerical proof - how we're ahead of anyone at this point.

GO.

Sure, let me go grab those private financials...

Oh, wait. You just changed the argument. You were saying how Texas and Tamu were "the curve". Go on...

Or show us how we are behind things. Show us your hard figures.

Fact is there are very few hard facts out there, from any school. But show me more than a handful of schools that have blown past 3...4..5..MILLION a year and are now looking at 25mm/year as a goal.

Even going by the folks that have signed up on ToS at varying levels, the $5mm figure is a floor figure...and that was from a month or 2 ago before they greatly expanded things and people were still asking "who is Spyre"?

Believe what you want, but your opinion is unfounded. The opinion we are fundraising large amounts is greatly founded. Who knows about 25mm...but that is also INSANE. The ABUNDANCE of things we do know highly supports the notion we are ahead of many. And nothing supports we are behind a majority of others. Just unfounded pessimism.

Yeah doesn't seem like it matters now if we were behind.

We didn't even know A&M and Texas were throwing around the money they're throwing around until a little over a month ago and already we are talking about no quarterback at TN will make less than seven figures.

As you wish, Junior.

As an aside, I just pawn you day after day after day. Doesn't that get old for you?

Sad.

You should listen more. Talk less.

So all this states is the number of transfers a team has. Now please show the numerical proof that details TN being behind many other teams regarding NIL..

Dude you usually fail in the FF forum worse than you do in the PF.

Again you fail. Stop embarrassing yourself.

So... 91 is what's known in English as a "number".

You stated you wanted, "numerical proof that details TN being behind many other teams regarding NIL."

Son. If you can't grasp that 91 is a number... as in Tennessee ranks #91 out of 130 teams in the portal... well... can't help ya.

Reading comprehension is obviously not your strong suit. #91 is our transfer portal ranking. That doesn’t not equate to our being behind when it comes to NIL. You are using conjecture to try and strengthen your weak azz argument. You continue to show stupidity. You are assuming that the only reason a team gets a transfer player is because of NIL which is baseless and dumb.

Stating the obvious here about Texas schools. No clue otherwise.

The people like Monty never donate to help but will cry the loudest why isn’t someone else doing it so we won’t be behind others.
