He has entered the portal. I really hope we push hard here and give Hadden and/or Burrell the boot. A guy like this could make our defensive backfield a strength rather than a weakness
CB: Igbinosun
CB: Jeudy-Lally
Star: McDonald
S: Slaughter
S: Walker
That lineup would give us physical corners that can actually cover and a safety that is a head hunter that is also good in coverage with Slaughter. I think they could also put Slaughter and Turnage at the star since they’re much better in coverage than McDonald

That’s not saying much but I agree…he’s probably better suited for NB but I’m excited to see how much better he can be if he’s allowed to focus on CB this off season instead of getting moved around…he’s got that dawg in him (blue tick not bull) and it showed up in all sorts of plays last year

This would be great…and it would make sense…we almost got him last year and after realizing he chose a douchebag he’s back on the market…of course the close 2nd team would be a good option…

IMO…if we do take this kid it’s a very clear message to certain CB’s on the team…I would liken it to the way our coaches seemed to react to Mitchell leaving after we got Pili

I would really like this group. I would flip Slaughter to star however and move McDonald to safety simply because Slaughter has better coverage skills. No all stars in this group but should be an upgrade to last year without question.

They could go with a lot of different looks. Turnage at star with Slaughter at safety would be a nice package too

Yep I think Turnage has also shown good enough skills to start but he seems to get injured a lot. Much like athleticism, speed, instincts, etc…,durability is a valuable attribute. Each can play corner too when needed but don’t think CB is ideal position for either. Slaughter brings an attitude to the DB group and think he could be a leader back there in the middle of the field.
