weve struck out with most everyone weve gone after. clearly this is fallback for mckinley. just chill.

Im all about criticizing DL recruiting results, or lack of. But, if RG wants this guy, lets go!

VQ said Watson is a take regardless. Tennessee needs more young DL because they haven't signed enough in recent classes.

Tennessee wants him, and he is most likely going to Syracuse. It's a recruiting loss, but because he is unranked, some will be happy.

He has a connection to the Syracuse staff apparently, er, that may be Mckinley.

We are being overly picky in general, combine that with a below average year in DL, its been tough going. I was never clear on why we didnt go all in on JUCO's?

That said, next year HAS to be different. The instate DL have to be a priority, both from needs, optics, and over all quality of class.

When you have RG, DL should never be an issue. Its also one of those positions that separates the wheat from the chaff.

Happy to get Maraad, but, you cant jump in middle of a recruitment and expect to win. Even with our NIL. My point is win or lose, we will be good without Maraad.

TN has to get some big time players on the DL. There is a talent gap. Yes we have upgraded. Yes Spyre helped us lock down some guys. The shiners we got from losses to FSU, Auburn, Florida, Ole Miss, and even Missou still sting.

Again, its time to close the talent gap, at least above the mid tier teams.

And I think we can, and I think we will. DL is a hard position to recruit. Get a year away from this NCAA crap, and get it done. Weve got the coach, just need the speed!

D-line has not and will not be our problem or weakness. It is only going to get better from here on out. GBO

You need to stop acting like because Franklin “noticed him “ that that means anything. Look at the timing of the offer. This is a fallback option because we missed in our main targets. Sure he could end up being good.

RG didn't want him till he had no other choice but to want him. He has to have players to coach. Doesn't automatically make them diamonds in the rough.
