NLDS: Braves vs. Giants

Me too. I gotta get up in five hours to drive to Athens, and yet here I am still drinking a beer and still amped up from a baseball game. Noon games suck.

You had reason to be amped. Your team just pulled off a hell of a win in the postseason. The drive tomorrow will probably suck, though

There's a bar in Athens that I believe to be the best beer bar in the south, at least that I know of. It opens at 10. Goal is to be there then for an hour and a half of good pregame warmup. The last thing I want to do is go sit in the UGA faculty section sober.

It completely chaps my arse that Vanderbilt is playing Eastern Michigan at 7 pm on ESPNU, but we got the craptastic 12:20 kick. Bah.

I'll be in Section 115 Sunday and 118 Monday night. If we make it to the NLCS I may have to grab a couch at somebody's house. Maybe even you VolinthaATL. The tickets are cheap but the hotel/gas is ridiculous.

Speaking of VolinthaATL.. If he were the manager, Melky woulda bunted Infante over and we probably would have scored in the 1st inning of Game 1. I don't argee, but I'll give him his due for stickin to his guns. Would have worked out better in that scenario than what we got ha.

Last night was freakin awesome. RIIIIICKKK. Oh, and nice double by Gonzo to tie. Doesn't excuse his 0-99 preceding it, but I won't say anymore bad things about him.

To answer your question about Cardinals fans- I was fortunate enough to live in Arkansas the one year the Cardinals won the worst world series ever played, and Darren McFadden/Felix Jones ran "hog wild." When every one you spend time around is a Razorback/Cardinal redneck (not calling Cardinal fans rednecks, I'm talking Arkansas in general) you acquire quite a taste of disdain for them. Therefore, I would cheer for the Yankees to beat the Cardinals, and anyone but Florida to beat Arkansas. Not to mention, I am from Memphis and as big V mentioned, quite a few of my friends are (annoying) Cardinal fans.

Also true. TBS definitely did their part as well.

Without a doubt. For many years if you didn't live within 100 miles of a major league city you basically had the Braves and Cubs to choose from.

Sorry some Arkansans ruined our rep. We all really aren't that bad

Another error by Conrad. Cox has got to get him out of the starting lineup. I know Glaus is a statue and Diory Hernandez is an offensive liability, but this has gone beyond ridiculous.

Paul Emmel is behind the plate and he's already got both pitchers glaring at him in the first inning.

When your offense consists of a walk and your pitcher getting a single, you know you suck.
