NLDS: Braves vs. Giants

In a day filled with brutal calls, the Posey stolen base is right up there. In retrospect this call probably saved the Braves from striking out 6 more times.

Just in case you needed something else to tell you how bad the Braves were at the plate last night . . .

The MLB average for swing and misses per 9 innings is roughly 11. The Braves has 31 last night.

That is the lead picture in the Sports Section, at least online:

I have a still frame from my tivo that is a better angle than that...for some reason it will not let me post it.

Granted I doubt we would have scored....but it would have been nice to go to extras vs. someone not named Lincecum.

In case you just missed the announcement . . .

If the Phillies/Reds game runs past 9:37, the beginning of the Braves/Giants game will be broadcast on TNT.

Thoughts, predictions?
More of the same.

I'm sort of hoping they forget to switch over the game on TNT. I think I'd rather watch Titanic than the Braves batting order.

And here we gooooooooooooooooooooo!!

Infante 3B
Heyward RF
Lee 1B
McCann C
Cabrera LF
Conrad 2B
Gonzalez SS
Ankiel CF

Expect tons of scoring tonite.

Realistically, we need Infante and Heyward to get on and Mac hit a bomb. It's going to be hard for us to manufacture runs, so we need a big swing to get us on the board.

Oh, and Hanson cannot have a 6 strong innings and one 4 run inning. Lots of pressure on him since he knows the offense is weak, hopefully he doesn't allow more than 2 runs.

I'm not usually a fan of doing this, but the Braves need to do everything they can to play for 1 run in the first couple of innings.

After not being able to get a decent replay of the botched stolen base call last night for about 3 innings, I've now seen Posey run into Sandoval about 10 times in the last 5 minutes.
