We don't need extra coverage. The world was watching, because it was Sunday with only 2 games worth watching. Well at the very least the entire south east was watching! That's all I need, because that's where all the recruits are.

The Tennessee/Utah State game is not even on the ESPN scoreboard. I see not one word about Tennessee.

My 10 year got up late this morning after the long drive back from Knoxville last night. He scanned the ESPN channels for 30 minutes then comes to me and goes into a 10 minute rant about how if Utah State had won it would have been on every channel. Since we won- nothing. Then, in disgust, goes to say they have time to talk about BAYLOR. Even a child can tell ESPN hates us. Lol!

Sounds more like the child is emulating someone else in the house...

Joe Tessitore did one hell of a job calling that game. He got me hyped up just by some of the things he was saying. "Welcome to one of the grand cathedrals of college football"

The General's Grand Cathedral has a nice ring to it.

Tessitore is my favorite by far.

I just got to see the telecast and I 100% agree. He was, by NO means, a Tennessee homer. He was well acquainted with both teams and got fired up for any outstanding play. He sold the game and not a team. That was one of the most exciting game calls that I have heard in years and it's not because of the outcome.

Anybody got a B-52 and a nuclear warhead they can drop on Connecticut?

The college station on Sirius/XM is talking our game quite a lot. And some mention that we might just present a challenge to OU in a couple of weeks.

They are still trying to figure out what happened. All their material was aimed at an upset so they have nothing to show. Funny first time I heard of USU opening game losing streak was after the game (as if it were expected to continue) - I don't recall them talking about it pre-game. They were too busy calling this game an upset special.

Underrated point...think that game gets a few mentions if the Vols lose?

Look guys. ESPN is too busy reporting about racism and gay athletes. My Braves have always been overlooked by ESPN.. Also , my VOLS. I really could give two diahreas about ESPN. End of story for me.

Who cares what ESPN has to say or not say?

Besides the OP obviously. Enjoy the win

ESPN's job is to make money through increased viewership. We have sucked so long that we don't move the needle. Talking about ranked teams has a far broader appeal then talking about two unranked teams. We beat Oklahoma you bet your ass they will talk about us. ESPN does not hate us. I happen to think herby and Collin both have a soft spot for us for some reason.

Tessitore is my favorite by far.

I thought Joe Tessitore did a great job of giving us Vols something to cling to with a few nice phrases, but stayed neutral as he should have.

A few I remember...

He called Neyland Stadium one of the "great cathedrals of college football"

He also called it "General Neyland's football fortress." That one got me fired up as the team ran through the T.

When Von Pearson scored, he said, "Von Pearson, welcome to Rocky Top."

When we stopped Utah State on the fourth-and-1, he said, "There's a NEW Tennessee defense."
