A few I remember...

He called Neyland Stadium one of the "great cathedrals of college football"

He also called it "General Neyland's football fortress." That one got me fired up as the team ran through the T.

When Von Pearson scored, he said, "Von Pearson, welcome to Rocky Top."

When we stopped Utah State on the fourth-and-1, he said, "There's a NEW Tennessee defense."

Technically, he said "Welcome to the new Tennessee defense."

Which is much better and gave me goosebumps.

I thought Joe Tessitore did a great job of giving us Vols something to cling to with a few nice phrases, but stayed neutral as he should have.

My favorite was when they ran through the T, and he said something along the lines of college pageantry. I wish I could remember exactly what he said, but it stood out to me. I'm sure ppl watching took notice to.

ESPN's job is to make money through increased viewership. We have sucked so long that we don't move the needle. Talking about ranked teams has a far broader appeal then talking about two unranked teams. We beat Oklahoma you bet your ass they will talk about us. ESPN does not hate us. I happen to think herby and Collin both have a soft spot for us for some reason.
Truth! Should the Vols pull off the upset of Sooners they will lead every sports center college football update with "The Vols are back!". We Vol fans are delighted with US game but as far as the college football world is concerned its not news worthy.

ESPN hasn't said anything on SportsCenter about our win, but have mentioned Baylor beating SMU a few times.

I guess they're practicing the "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." cliche.

they are waiting for us to lose a game before they say anything.

I wish we'd get over this. We don't matter to anybody until we beat Florida.

UT was supposed to win... No news

EDIT:That's how these things work. They will be on every upset list next week too.

Yeah I don't know what you're talking about but most media outlets picked us to lose. Also I saw UK highlights last night on ESPN. Why not ours?

Joe Tessitore did one hell of a job calling that game. He got me hyped up just by some of the things he was saying. "Welcome to one of the grand cathedrals of college football"

The General's Grand Cathedral has a nice ring to it.

I heard someone call our stadium "General Neyland's fortress of football"

I thought that was awesome!!!
