There are gun stores all over West Tn. There are guns avalible in Pawn Shops. Hell you can buys guns at walmart.

OBAMA WILL NOT TAKE OUR GUNS.

Oh by the way ask most cops if they want assault rifles to be legal to most people. They will say no.

I should know. I was a cop for six years.

Do not confuse full auto/select fire military weapons (an Uzi for instance) with what the bill in question limited. Outside of holding a Class III license "machine guns" have been illegal since 1934 for private citizens.

Again, why do I have to have a need for a firearm to be legal. Those pesky forefathers of ours specifically gave us right to guns.

I do not feel like asking most agents of the state what they believe should be legal or illegal.

One wonders what things would look like if Holder/Pelosi/Reid et al didn't have Heller dropped on them at the 11th hour. I don't think you'd have gotten some overnight ban but I can see things veering hard down the Australian/British template. Opposition would have been more fierce but I truly believe Heller was enormous.

I don't gun banning happening in America in my lifetime. It is rooted too deep in American culture. Hell most Liberals own guns in this country.

We're not talking about a militia. The Bill of Rights is an awfully limited set of explicit rights. Gun ownership is one of them. Done.

Once again, you are talking about all guns. Plenty of us do not feel as though the Federal Government has the right to ban assault weapons. That is certainly rooted in the 2nd Amendment. That pesky little phrase, "shall not be infringed" actually means something to some people.

Hunting is not the goal of the 2nd amendment. The 2nd amendment is there to protect the citizens from tyranny. If the citizens do not have a significant access to arms this becomes a mute point.

I will not pretend a loony element doesnt exist on both sides, but thankfully they have been polarized and most Americans are moderates and realists and they will never give them absolute power.

That is one of the reasons I love this country so much.
