I thought it was funny how pissed the Girl Scouts are about this. They fought to let girls into Boy Scouts, now that it’s normalized they’re mad that the Boy Scouts will take their membership. Meanwhile zero dudes joining Girl Scouts.

People who aren't involved have no idea how little this will impact most charters.

The BSA policies over the past five years have had a huge impact on charters. Perhaps this latest "change" won't affect current charters, but overall, that damage was done previously when many churches backed out en mass.

Overall, it's a shadow of what it was 20 years ago. Some of that has to do with the fact it's just passed out of "favor" or popularity with people. But the organization is not what it once was in terms of charters and sponsorship.

it's a shame. it's not a surprise. Gates was the president for a couple of years and I truly believe he's a closet homosexual. the guy who's the president now is a very big lib, so it's not a surprise. I'm sure the big donors also demanded that we continue to feminize men or else they'll cut funding. I'm glad my son is no longer apart of the boy scouts.

In case one wants to know the extent of the changes:

The Boys Scouts of America organization name has not changed.

Some programs offered by the BSA have changed either in name or eligibility as follows:

Cub Scouts –No Name Change- youth 5-10 yrs. of age (girls can now join but meet in separate groups (dens) for weekly meetings.

Boy Scouts (New name - Scouts BSA) youth 11-18 yrs. of age (boys and girls will operate in separate units- so a charter organization – a church, for example, would have 2 separate units, if they so choose, – they do not meet as 1 operating group and have separate adult leadership although the organization governing adult committee could be the same if they choose).
A new member would say, for example, I am a Scout in Scouts BSA.

Venturing - No Change - Outdoor based co-ed program for youth 14-20 yrs. of age and has been a BSA program since 1998.

Exploring – No Change – a co-ed career exploration program for youth 14-20 yrs. of age and has been a B.S.A. career oriented program since 1969.

Learning for Life, Inc. – No Change - a classroom-based character education program designed for all ages, genders and grades incorporated in 1991.
