Sorry, but the cost/profit ratio for major software programs and most records is kind of ridiculous. This doesn't apply to all programs and cd's... mainly the mass produced ones.
and?? I think some cars are massively overpriced, but I don't go around stealing them. There are almost always open source alternatives to software packages.
They're nowhere near as overpriced as most major software programs. Again, the cost/profit ratio is way, way different. I'm aware of open source alternatives, and I use them when I can. I refuse, however, to pay $140+ for Norton.
AVG, Avast, BitDefender, Microsoft Security Essentials are all free antiviruses. Norton Internet Security costs less than a subscription to Xbox Live.
For the shortest subscription on the weakest version of Norton... yes. Most of those programs you listed are only free for a limited amount of time.
Go ahead and resent my stance on software piracy. It won't be nearly as easy for me to pirate jack squat in a few months.
Anything over NIS is bloatware. All the free alternatives listed are free for residential use.
You resent the software industry because you don't like their profit margin and thus steal from them, when no one is forcing you to buy or use anything. Yet you still feel like you have a right to use their software at no cost to you.
When you buy a piece of software today, all you are essentially paying for is either the registration key or a subscription service. You're not paying for the box or physical media.
Really? You think I'm that stupid?
Yeah, tell me that when I'm withdrawing 5 bucks from paypal for a norton 3 year registration key and see if I take you more seriously.
If you're only paying $5 for a 3 year subscription then its a hacked key. Your since of entitlement to a nonessential service is largely what is wrong with most people in this country today.
