I know if it were me personally, for education and sports and setting myself up in life, I couldn't say no to Duke over UT in basketball, and I get sick just seeing KY get good recruits or bama win a football game.

CCM has already won one battle vs Duke and K for Hubbs. Expect similar results here.

Well, Tubby even got good recruits, the name kentucky does that. It's kinda of depressing when you look at it from an achievement standpoint because Cal + KY should never lose a basketball game in college if you go on pure talent alone. How he managed to lose with Wall/Cousins class I'll never known. I'd wager half the coaches in america could win 25+ games a year with the talent Cal and WWW bring in. If you gave those players to Smart, Izzo, Self, Williams, Pearl even, etc. they'd lose 1 game a year at worst probably

This is the 21st century. Going undefeated with any team is next to impossible. There's a reason the last undefeated team was 35 years ago. There have been better teams than Cals in that time frame. Our 95-96 team was the best team we've ever had.

To imply all those coaches would go undefeated with Cals team is laughable and proves only you bias hate towards the guy. Anyways they'd never have a chance because none of them will ever recruit like he does.

IMO recruiting is just as much apart of coaching as Xs' and O's and Cals the best at it. Ppl discredit his abilities when it comes to maintaining these freshman egos.

Yeah, I can't imagine why a basketball fan who isn't a UK fan would hate Calipari.

I edited this because, I didn't want to get in to the same mindless tripe that I get drug in to nearly everyday living Kentucky. Nor did I want to help in making this whiny like ff. So I just wanna say I can't for basketball season to start. I love what CCM is doing with the program, and look forward to the future of Tennessee basketball!

He won't rest until he's putting teams on the floor that rival KY.

Yes I hate Cal as much or more than anybody, hated him way before UK, and he's a good recruiter,great because he's a filthy, dirty cheater (check everywhere he's ever been). And it should have followed him like Jim Tressel. The dirt bag shouldn't have ever had the fortune to land in Kentucky.
BUT, he has really impressed me with his coaching since he's been there. Yes he gets tons of talent, but to get those freshmen superstars to play as a team, and play defense like they do, to beat some really good coached junior and senior laden teams and win a championship, in those kids first year playin college ball......unbelievable. I hate it.

I don't think he'll match the talent but he'll have more than enough to compete and beat UK. UT will eventually be our biggest challeng, especially in the 2013-14. UT, UF, and UK will be top 10 teams next year, IMO.
