Congratulations to Duke for whipping Clemson. I had a friend talk about how great it was storming the field. I felt it looked a bit amateurish compared to the previous third Saturday in October. We have the best fan base in the College Football! Go Vols!

It's insane how many are still in the stands with the whole field blanketed with fans. Doesn't look like the stadium would hold all those people.

Hopefully storming the field becomes something Vol fans don't need to do much of by winning big games regularly. Usually you storm a field when you finally beat a team that has made you their doormat.....

I agree on the field storming in general but I think the win against Alabama was one of those rare occurrences where it was deserved. It was 15 years of suckage being lifted off our shoulders against the guy who had ran the conference for all those years. It was the best game I can recall since possibly that Texas-USC championship game. That field storming will be etched in college football lore for the rest of our lives.

Exactly this. Our 'storming the field' days are hopefully over, and the goal is, as you said, to have other teams' fans storming the fields after one of our rare losses. At that point, it's pretty clear you've become a national power.

The best part of that game was that it wasn't like they didn't come ready to play and all that. It was non stop uppercuts from both sides with us landing the last . The win plus the ambiance at that moment was the most surreal game I'd ever witnessed . I doubt it'll ever be topped.

We don’t storm the field much, honestly, and probably won’t again for a long time. As far as I can tell, we’ve stormed the field 4 times in the last 50 years: ‘82 vs Bama, ‘85 vs Auburn, ‘98 vs Florida, ‘22 vs Bama. I thought I heard we stormed the field in the 60’s, too, but I don’t know which game it was.

I was there for Bama…it was an amazing experience!!
Hell I say we storm and take Florida’s posts and dump’em in the ****** swamp when we drill’em at home!

That already happened last year with South Carolina. They stormed the field after they won.
