I'm not shaving until we loose another game. Hopefully "no shave November" will turn into "don't shave December" and if we look good enough doing it I just might have to go into "just wont shave January"

What do you guys do for a living where you cannot shave for months, fur trappers?

what job would someone want to do if you had somebody tell you not to grow a beard?
That comes from a corporate guy that stopped being corporate a few years back.

I appreciate this sentiment. I think my beard is mostly a result of not being able to due to regulations in the past.

I worked for a pharma company and grew a goatee over Christmas. Middle idiot manager, as most are idiot "yes" men in the corporate world, told me to shave it. I asked him if he was serious. He said customers can't take a person with facial hair seriously. I told him that was the stupidest thing I had ever heard and that thought processes like that were a reason why their market share sucked and they were focused on the wrong things.
So I had to turn in my company car on Monday.

That was @ '95 and I've had some form of beard or facial hair since. That little company is out of business and my @ 100 customers don't have a problem with my gray/brown/black/white beard.

I cant grow a good looking full beard, so I'll just have to settle with not grooming my nether regions I suppose.

That's a pretty interesting reason. I usually judge by forthright opinions, and knowing WTF they're talking about. I only use personal grooming as a 3d tiebreaker.

Use your beard to raise awareness and money for men's health. October is breast cancer awareness and it gets a ton of hype, but November is for prostate and testicular cancer! If you don't have your own page, come visit mine at

Movember - Raising Funds for Men's Health

Last year over $22.9 million was raised through this movement. Help me reach my goal of $1000 this year!
I'm raising the money in honor of Granddad who passed away November 2, 2006 of prostate cancer. He was a long time resident of Maryville and Townsend and worked over 30 years for the Knoxville postal service.
Together we can help stop this horrible disease from taking away loved ones. Go big orange!! #VFL

I'm doing it. This will be my first attempt to grow a beard. I've always shaved eventually because it grows at different rates on different parts of my face. I may do some manscaping but that won't occur until December anyways.
