Our post defense is going to have to get a lot better before we see the SEC. I fear had that have been Beers playing for Middle instead of their 6-7 post, Beers would have dropped 40 on us. Middle exposed our post defense in the second half. Not sure what the answer is, but it sure would be nice if Jill would toughen up and be able to defend the post a bit better.
I’m sorry Striplin left us. Does anyone know why?Indiana drops another one. This time to Butler 56-46.

She had already graduated and knew she'd always be a proud Lady Vol For Life, and so she wanted to experience something different for her final (extra) season. I think she hoped she'd have a larger role to play there, and so hopefully as time goes on her minutes will increase. She's been pretty productive so far.I’m sorry Striplin left us. She was one of my favorites.Sh

She definitely left with all the love and blessings she deserves and, I'm sure, will be a regular returning alum in the future. It's all good!
She’s doing what needs to be done, she’s trying to get in a rhythm, this is her 2nd year and she’s working on certain aspects of her game. She’s not one dimensional like certain players, she’s great on the defensive end, Juju and Kiki will figure it out and be a force come March Madness. Don’t compare her to Clark because they are nothing alike, Juju takes tough shots and creates most of her shots on her own, she doesn’t get all these screens to get her open shots, also Juju is a 3 level scorer and defends. If that was remotely the case, she would stop shooting so much against nonsense teams and get her teammates much more involve. She's taken 50 shots in three games double that of any of her teammates and it's not like she's shooting Caitlin Clark numbers to back up those attempts. 13.2% from the three and 42% for overall fgs. Aren't eye popping shooting stats.
Well, they did win the B12 ahead of Texas so they aren’t chopped liver. You are correct that they needed to work on their defense from last season, and I suppose we have to wait until they play a decent team to evaluate that part of their game.I’m not that worried about OU tbh. They haven’t played anyone yet so of course their numbers are crazy. Their guard play is awful though and they are getting everything inside.
Against a team like us if you’re guards don’t score and turn it over you’re gonna get crushed whether Beers as 30 or not.
Also still think she’s going to struggle with the pace we play. OU plays at a good clip but not like we have been. We’re doing what Jenny wishes her team was doing. Unfortunately they will never be good enough defensively to get it done.
Their defense last season as atrocious and it killed them all season.
43-27 half….its the Fulwiley show. SC is still learning the perimeter game, it’s not polished yet, gonna be different type year without a dominant post. Teams can’t sleep on PaoPao from three again, but she is getting to the rim this year also.Quick spurt by Sakerlina opens it up. 40-22, 2:05 left, first half.
Chuck, let’s not lose sight of the opponent tonight, but SC will feed the inside with their bigs on many nights, just no dominant big there this year. Staley is close to trusting/unleashing Fulwiley and that might be an All American type season if she gets enough minutes. If Fulwiley is fully unleashed….could be special. 99% of teams would play her 35 minutes with her skills, and last year as a freshman, she led the nation in production per minutes played.…and yet they are killing Coppin inside.
