UCLA will be fine, and if they need Betts to carry them, she will do what she has to do, that’s what big time players do, they can carry a team to a Championship.

I may be wrong, but I seem to remember they are the tallest team in D1. Betts isn’t the only big to worry on, they are deep and long at most spots.

I'm not sure when Charlisse will return from her ACL injury, but getting both her and Kiki back makes them a completely different team.

Ran out of steam. Their atrocious Free Throw shooting really did them in. They were having fun with it but got tight and started playing not to lose with a couple minutes left in the third.

At one point they were up 16 and were hoopin on Arkansas. They were killing them on the glass in the first half.

Problems Arkansas has never solved, worst rebounding teams I’ve ever seen at a P4 level.

Give us an example of one time in Staley’s entire coaching career where she didn’t do the right thing. Calling a player a criminal when you don’t know anything about the actual situation except what you “gather” from the internet on your own would have to be weighed against CDS’s entire career of always being a tough disciplinarian and doing the right thing for 20+ years on the job. I have nothing against you, but I know which side I trust has made the right decision.

Btw, it may roll off your keyboard easily calling young people criminals on the internet. I suspect you are more measured in real life. Peace, I have no bone with you and don’t want to start anything. You do you, makes no difference to me.

I do thank you @VolBall09 for starting this Non LV BB thread however, it has become the most visited thread on the LV site because there are many like myself that enjoy a place where we can discuss WBB even if we support other teams. This has always been a great WBB forum. Mucho gracious Amigo. Ty for starting this thread. But somewhat like the boneyard’s earlier days, it is starting to get offensive and hostile at times from a few sources. Not sure that was ever the intent here, but what do I know. Not my place here to say other.

I'm looking fwd to a great, maybe the greatest WBB season in a long while and I plan to keep the vibes positive. I won’t respond to this topic again except to say I believe most folks still have some common decency when discussing others, and yeah, you are included there 09, I get it. I understand much of your stuff, and where some of it comes from, everyone does. Let’s have a great season of WBB discussion and hope everyone’s team does their best. I’ve got UT top 3-4 in the SEC and I enjoy watching all of their games, as always.

SC has a lot of improvement to make before they face UCLA Poultry, but they are slowly learning to improve the perimeter offensive spacing. I think Edwards and Feagin will rebound well and Watkins will of course. But Kitts is going to be key this year. She is ready for the next step up in scoring and rebounding. We don’t have an answer for Betts in the post, will need the others to play well on perimeter.

Fairfield beat Arkansas by 14 and was their only game so far. How bad is Arkansas?
UF is up 91 22 on Chicago State. I dont think Chicago State won 1 game last year.

Ark is now a bottom feeding program in WBB sadly, no credit for Fairfield there. But 7 points at half vs Richmond tells you all you need to know about Fairfield as far as rankings and AP votes.
