Moon Ursin was one rebound short of another double/double (16 and 9) as Baylor beats Kansas 83 to 60. Dijonai Carrington had 17pts and six boards off the bench. The Lady Bears get 34pts off the bench tonight.

Was just a matter of time before Ole Miss broke through with a win. They should've beat LSU had a great chance to beat us and finally last night they put it all together and win. Their starting five are comparable with almost any SEC team and I wouldn't want to be on their schedule from here to the end of the season. The win really help us as now all but three SEC teams have at least four league losses.

LSU beat them on the boards in both matchups. A stat that shocked me. I think that bodes well for us if/when we do play A&M.

Gary Blair showed everyone what to do with that LSU defense in the second half. He had his guards attack the basket hard on the break and they scored a bunch of layups. Anytime they tried to get something setup they had a live ball turnover and LSU would score. If they were able to score quickly they could get their defense set and force LSU to play over the top. They forced the setup basketball king to play in transition haha.

A&M also did a much better job of keeping LSU out of the paint. Young and Pointer did not get many looks. Young in particular has been the scoring punch for LSU and they shut her down. Forced Seay to take a bunch of jump shots and she only hit a couple.

LSU hardly scored in that second half because the bigs stepped up on Aifuwa and they couldn’t get anything in transition with A&M not turning the ball over as much.

I never knew the last time Ole miss beat a ranked opponent at home was in 2016 vs No.25 Oregon Sabrina Ionescu was a freshmen

Yep. To be fair Oregon should not have been ranked at that point. They had a bunch of losses to unranked teams Sabrina’s freshman year. They came on toward the end of the season. Had something like 13-14 losses that year.

We were talking about poison and this time the poison worked doesn't mean it will always work and sometimes it may work even better. There may be other poison out there just don't get to thinking the poison won't work because every now and then it will get you. When you get to thinking you are so much better than anyone else that is when the poison strikes.

Did you know Zia Cooke was only down by one at the half? Did you know that the Queen of double doubles didn't get one this year or last? If you didn't know those facts then it was news to you. :)
