Howard can have a new inscription on her shoes of snubbage: Caitlin Clark ate my lunch and threw up in the bag.
Hate it for Elzy, but KY is getting their haughty hineys spanked hard. 24 pts down going into 4th.
CC's supporting cast looks pretty dang worthy to me, but it may just be the give up D KY is already playing. They're getting to the hoop repeatedly
Me too, but you can see that SC is thin. The players that play are really good, but they don't have much to work with on the bench outside of Amihere. Littleton is the only other bench player that should be getting in, and she can't score.Amihere getting minutes that Grissett used to but now that Grissett is out due to injury, Amihere is showing. Amihere on Canadian national team, she has game. That is the kind of talented depth that is needed. Saxton has also stepped up her game in tourney. Amazed SC handling Oregon State so easily.
No doubt, SC is down to 7 serviceable players due to injuries, there is a freshman phenom on bench that Dawn has been slow to unleash, she will have to rethink that for this tourney, usually 8 is needed, though Geno has won it all with 7 several times.
Dawn is bringing in 3 players in top 10 this next class, and another top 25. She reloading and only loses Grisett.
I picked SC to win the tournament. Granted, I filled out my bracket before Grissette was ruled out, but I still think they can because of the strength of their 1-6. They just have a narrow margin of error and can't afford foul trouble. And McGraw won it all in 2018 only playing six from the elite eight to the end.
