Well UConn struggled mightily with the size and athleticism of USC in that half. USC had great energy and played excellent defense. They blocked a lot of shots. UConn not liking the physicality at all.

Really hope we beat this UConn team. I’d love nothing more than Kim to get one off Geno the first time they play. This team is not that great if you make them uncomfortable. They want to be able to run their pretty offense and shoot open shots. If you’re physical and make that tough they struggle so much.

Watkins is quite clearly the better player. I’ve never been impressed with PaperClip Bueckers. She has a pure shot but that’s it. Just doesn’t impact the game much otherwise.

This right here. Remember all the intense UConn/TN games because both teams would play scrappy and physical? Hell, Pat’s old teams from the 90s would absolutely body UConn’s current team. Soft.

Yes, those were two teams ready to kill each other every time they played. This modern uconn team wouldn’t stand a chance. Pat would smell blood and it would be over.


Watkins just swatted Paige’s three like it was nothing. She allll the way in her head now.

USC just way more athletic across the board, swatting these little UConn girls all over the place. Not in the same league at all right now.

Based on this game and the ND game I’m not convinced UConn is a top 10 team at the moment. They do not have a player willing to do the dirty work in the paint and Bueckers just can’t carry them, not enough passion.

I don’t think she belongs there anyway. Sorry, just not that good and plays in a crappy league. She’s a pure shooter and that’s it.

Forgettable and boring to watch imo
