Good game so far. I think SC is playing tight. Seems that the officiating has frustrated Coach Staley and TX has controlled the boards. SC has played a lot of players but I believe in the post they’ve got outworked and outhustled.
If Alyssa Latham could stay out of foul trouble and played the number minutes that Taylor Jones plays she could impact our frontcourt in the same way.
What T. Jones does takes zero talent.
After watching the first half of the TX vs SC game today and this past Thursday’s showdown UCONN vs UT, it is obvious that the Lady Vols are a Top 10 team.

I agree. Dont like a coin flip at all. Would rather they just make them share it. Co-champs and only one wins the tourney.

I was surprised with the result today. Haven’t watched to see what happened but really surprised SC didn’t win that one.

Texas just played such great defense today, they deserved the win 09.

Size will always matter in basketball. We need some of that. One true big who can get up and down would make a huge difference. A rim protector is invaluable.

Jones has been playing like that for three weeks now, she has turned a corner. She can be dominate , look at her stats last 6-7 games. She is really good. Texas hardly used her against SC in their first matchup, since then VIC has featured her and she has been huge.

She has finally toughened up. She was such a crazy baby for so long, she has suddenly stopped. Must have been a discussion about toughness. I swear for most of her career the game had to be stopped at least once for her to exit crying only to return a minute later. That’s a lack of mental focus. She suddenly seems more engaged.

Yes she killed us. That probably started her turnaround. What surprised me was Oldacre. She was flat getting up and down, making steals, everything. So good Jones never even got in the second half!

Amazing. Oldacare has been dominate against SC in both games this year, but Jones has become a star in the past 3-4 weeks for Texas, I like her game a lot, she is a really good player and full of confidence right now.
