Even so, it definitely does help to play in front of an arena full of your own fans. No one can deny the power of that.

But the way I see it, money rules, and if Greensboro is outbidding everyone else to host, then they get to do it. If some other city wants to host, then they need to submit a higher bid.

It is what it is. Teams just need to start games strong and reduce the energy of the lopsided crowd.

That's a Vandy home game. I don't know if a fair-to-everyone solution exists, though, 'cause no matter where it is the site will be closest to someone, and furthest away for someone else.

But since it seems obvious that Texas and Oklahoma are flush with oil money, and obviously South Carolina must be doin' alright too, maybe their fans would be more financially able to travel, right? 😄

I am for not having the WBB or MBB at a permanent location. The conference has gotten so spread out it is difficult for people to take off all the time to drive or the expense to fly to the tournament. I definitely see keeping Greenville as a regular spot, but adding places such as Atlanta, Nashville, Birmingham, New Orleans, and even Dallas to the mix. Dallas is a great draw for Texas, A&M, Arky, OU, and LSU. Nashville still is probably the closest to being in the center of the conference. The sites that don't give a decent bid won't get a chance, and the sites that don't draw well won't get a second chance. What is interesting about Nashville is that even when Vanderbilt used to sellout all their men's game and their women drew respectably, there are rarely more than a few hundred WBB Vandy fans and no more than a thousand MBB at the tourney when it is held in Nashville. So, Nashville shouldn't be counted out due to Vandy, just their dang Memorial Gymnasium.

Vandy fans won’t go to vandy for a home game there! Much less pay to go down town Nashville and pay high priced parking at the new tourist attraction called Nashville! JMO
