Non-Lady Vol Basketball News 2024-25

Plenty of mouthing about revenge for the home court loss. A lot of the fans and a few of the players were saying revenge is coming. I guess this is normal just getting anyone to admit it after the game is the hard part.
Again....I don't play on the team. Talk is talk. You don't go into a game saying..."well we lost the first game so I guess we will lose this one." Geez....do you even read your responses? If you do....then never mind. You just don't get it. No team....ever....has done that......not one. The worse team would not say that before a game with the best team. They are all going to say we can win. Geez....but one thing they can say. We didn't lose until the championship game. I am sure the Tennessee team and their fans would love to be in that position.

Did I say you I was talking about half the SC fans are you half of them? Kitts said it was a revenge game. Just so you are clear someone did say it.

Geno being messy! I love it! 😂

Geno seems to be taking a jab at Aja's statue or maybe Dawn's soon to be erected statue. He doesn't understand our history and how meaningful it is to those South Carolinians who grew up under segregation. Aja's statue was paid for by private donations and not by the University.

Dawn's statue is funded by the "Statues For Equality" organization. Of note is the fact that it will be located just across the street from where the last Confederate flag flew on the SC State House grounds. It was taken down in 2015 after the Mother Emmanuel Church massacre in Charleston.

There were a couple who said it. It's what athletes do. They do it on both sides and then....one of them has to eat their words. Geez...
Ok since you thought you should respond to my first post in the first place. See that you now understand it. Another point you don't have to respond to any of my post that was totally your option.

What, we are not playing next year? After having to endure two road games in a row?
It was two home games in a row for SC because UConn owed us one. One game with UConn in Columbia was cancelled in order for SC to play enough SEC games.

If SC schedules UConn in the future I would think it will be early and before conference play.

Dawn don't want to play UCONN ever again, after that last butt kicking ole gee no gave her. lol
SC played UConn for years before they won one and Dawn's teams have won several since.

Dawn has hinted that in the future she may not load the schedule with heavy weights as the SEC schedule is tough enough. She once went so far as to say that "winning

the SEC is harder than winning a national championship". I think that was the year her team lost the SEC championship but went on to win a National Championship.

Strength of schedule doesn't seem that impactful with the selection committee in terms of seeding. So is there a real advantage in playing the top 10 teams?

I also wonder if UConn will be affected by the new revenue sharing plan for power 4 conferences in terms of their ability to stay competitive?

Geno is 71 years old. He has already cemented his legacy so why not retire while he's on top?

From what I've seen on the CT fan board from both Husky and Gamecock fans, it seems to be a fairly friendly, or at least congenial rivalry. That is miles away from CT fans' feelings towards ND (contempt) and LVs (hatred).
On the BY it is much more cordial. On places like IG or Twitter though, watch out.
