We'll see who the real USC is next season when we play So Cal. South Carolina has won several national championships in other sports including baseball twice. Last year our ice hockey team was the first southern team to win one. Is there a real UT?

You couldn't possibly be more wrong. The banner says Ranked #1 at season's end, which is 100% reality. As an accomplishment, it beats the hell out of a banner(s) for NIT appearances to say the least. One celebrates being ranked the best in the nation. The other celebrates missing the tournament entirely. But please, continue the envy tour and "pretend" (imaginary world in your words) the TBA banners celebrating far less accomplishments don't really exist.

Who cares what USC does with banners, we best be worried about our Lady Vols coming up the rankings and becoming a top 10 team. I believe that we are on our way. Go CKC and find us a mobile post, or two, in the portal. You got the guard speed to drive teams crazy, now work on controlling the boards on both sides of the ball.

Before 1998 many college national championships were decided by votes rather than competition. How is that different from being voted number one at the end of the covid season?

1) It's no longer 1998.

2) Maybe you would have a point if the AP Voted #1 at the end of the season ALWAYS won the tournament. What about this year? Wasn't UCONN AP #3 at the end of the season? Weren't they considered the 5th best team in NCAA seeding? How'd that end up after the tournament?

SC fans never talk about the covid banner but some of you still seem obsessed with it. After all our ladies have won two natty's and played in every final four since then. I don't know why it's difficult to understand the human benefit of honoring players who attained the highest level of excellence in a season lost through no fault of their own.

I don't know why its difficult to understand the human nature of Fandom and fan forums. By definition, you're never going to argue it into making sense. Believe me I've tried.

I was at a game when Kellie was watching (recruiting) )Rosario. And Georgia coach (at that time) was watching (recruiting) Janah Barker ! Close enough to speak to both ….. Barker was the best athlete on that day and still is! Rosario is a 6’6” big with average skills with good ankles ! Don’t know about now as she played very little for Mulkey last year …Rosario could help Kellie or any of the bottom SEC teams… She would NEVER been able to play in CKC’s system. Barker is perfect for this system because she is a good athlete but the mental ? I don’t know .

ADR is a big NO, literally and figuratively.

Much as I'd love Barker (with good mindset) I'm not sure a system this physically demanding is a good idea for her if she's going straight from the season to W draft and camp next spring. Also this is not a system she'd play in the W.

Still hope we get her though, she's def the best available for us.

What about individual players who probably would be an All American but are injured through no fault of their of their own and thus don’t receive that honor? Highest level of excellence/season lost?
And honestly, that Covid banner was more about Dawn than the players.

They say they never talk about it, but if someone over here says something they are over here like a hoard of chickens cackling away. If they think that will stop future comments by this site or any other they are totally misinformed. They seem to think there will eventually be acceptance by the entire country and every fanbase. The truth is it will never be. They are the only one that thinks it has revelance so they need to keep it there and continue to celebrate it as a fanbase. All other fansbases think is it BS and that will never change. The comments will keep coming so I guess they will just have to keep cackling.

With all the SEC tournament championship banners and regular season championship banner and the national championship banners, we are running out of space. This 2019 banner was to celebrate a season that was halted because of covid. They were the No.1 team in the country at seasons end and that's exactly why it was raised and what it says. We all missed out on a championship and these girls went through the entire season and were going to get nothing in return. It was something that had never happened before so why not. You people are so envious, and it shows every time someone post these ridiculous statements. It was for the girls that season.... like I said...we have plenty of banners. We didn't hang it to fill in space. Geez....

Pretty lame and disrespectful to those that earned championships. Your past teams included.

I don't come here to recognize any team except Tennessee Lady Vols. That would be done on a site for your team. I never talk about the banner except when somebody else does and they get attacked by all the SC posters. SC posters been trying to use this as their site. This is Tennessee Lady Vols site. Your supposed to post in the non Lady Vol thread and not go all over the place with SC stuff. I do recognize that SC has won three times in women's basketball. I know that am not a supporter of Sc don't care if they ever win another that goes for UConn and every other women's basketball team.
Posters over here are probably going to talk about the banner from time to time. I won't be starting it, but it gets hard to ignore when some other Tennessee poster does and we have to put up with several Chicken fans getting ugly about it. I would have ignored it this time if it hadn't happened in the middle of our Portal thread. I don't care what is said in the non Lady Vol thread I seldom go there with anything except game schedules and scores.
